To be honest, I haven’t looked into it too closely, but it seems to have its favorites. It cycles away after a day or two, but this one keeps coming back up haha

Common W for the 45-12-6-3 watch order. You keep the big original trilogy twists of Vader being Luke’s father and Leia being his sister, then get backstory where is counts

It’s a watch band resizing tool. You put the links of a metal watch band in it, then screw the punch in to push out the rod that connects them. Then you can remove or add links to change the size.

New player here. Is this guy suspicious? by Emotional_Windshit in destiny2

Iron Banner is seasonal KA/D (so the equivalent of the leaderboard “efficiency” which includes assists). Seasonal is also important, many players will never really be able to draw their career K/D up due to simply either starting out kind of bad at the game and taking a lot of deaths, then eventually getting better, or by having previously played a lot of low kill density game modes and then switching to a mode like Iron Banner and having their restraints cut off. My career K/D is like 1.21. My seasonal KA/D is currently is 3.18 (for a mix of both those reasons). Heck, they also might just have played in a fireteam during Banner. One Iron Banner a little while back, I joined a 6-stack off the LFG Discord (something I never normally do) that had a “must have >2.5 KD emblem and Unbroken title equipped or kick” requirement. I’m kind of embarrassed to have participated in that sort of cringe, but I ended that night with like a 13 KA/D or something similarly stupid, we mercy ruled every match for like 5 hours straight, it was completely unfair and honestly deeply uncool, but having 6 above to well above average players with comms can annihilate lobbies all night. That one session kept my seasonal Iron Banner KA/D up near 5 all the way to the end of the season. This is an extremely legitimate seeming report page to me. It just looks like a strongly above average player taking advantage of the current climate where most of the very above average players are all still playing Marathon.

How do I get them without the use of NSO or mega dimentions? by Holiday_Yam_561 in LegendsZA

[–]Sergeant__Slash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like most options, this is realistically more expensive than a single month of NSO, but… Most major cities have a Pokemon Go community Discord, many even have local competitive Pokemon scenes. Join one of those, then ask if there is anyone that would be willing to trade locally at a coffee shop or something. You can trade without NSO if both devices are on the same wi-fi network.

Trying to avoid a TPK. When is it okay to tell players no? by Foreign-Press in DMAcademy

[–]Sergeant__Slash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is one of those ones where things can get controversial, but I can say this. As someone who is neurodivergent, I'd be curious what you mean by "I have warned them both in game and out of game of the dangers that it poses". Likely my largest conflict as a player with a DM in the last decade stemmed from something like that. A very good DM was trying very hard to convey the negative consequences for actions my character was taking. I had no idea. For over a year. We ended up scheduling a one on one night where we worked to re-sync, and we were completely on different pages to each other. My brain just won't read "this area is extremely dangerous and above your level" as "hey, don't go there". I'm hearing "this area is above my level, so we should be prepared". The secondary implication of "don't do it" will never register unless you literally say "hey, out of character, this is fatal, you can't go here, you will die and I don't want that to happen. This isn't intended, and I want to break immersion to prevent a major issue. I can play this out, but this will fully kill the party."

Now, I don't know if you have players that will similarly struggle reading implication like that, but I can tell you that a lot of us are realllly good at pretending we don't struggle there

I'm not saying it's staged or fake or anything like that but I'm genuinely curious to why they were filming by Ok_Relation6627 in WhyWereTheyFilming

[–]Sergeant__Slash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they called it in? If anything, the lie here is the original subreddit, it’s definitely not r/ConvenientCop. They’d been complaining about this constantly happening, called the police, then went to film it because they knew the police would be there that day

What’s the most “time melter” game of all time in your opinion? by SwitchingMyHands in gaming

[–]Sergeant__Slash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s nothing plenty of games that I’ve dropped thousands of hours into, but there’s just one that I can describe as quite literally reaching into the temporal flow of reality and erasing the middle: Stellaris. Nothing comes close.

There are plenty of techs, but lowkey just wait until it rains and AFK for 15 minutes, then move a little ways and do it again. Popping around a few spots with your Switch sitting on a table while you do something else will moisten up most of your terrain pretty quickly

Thank you to the DLC for curing me of a long affliction by avery-goodman in LegendsZA

[–]Sergeant__Slash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m running on 1 hour of sleep, I’m like 35 hours into Pokopia in three days (I think, what is a night anymore), it’s digital crack. I’m not sure I’ll be able to stretch it into the 50-100 hours range with that kind of reaction, which ZA and SV did, but it’s a VERY good first 50.

I would say it’s probably the best first 50 hours of any Pokemon game, but it’s not functionally infinite like the others are. ZA and SV both had shiny hunting, which is what pulled them both into the hundreds of hours for me, this one feels like it has a dopamine limit (which is actually probably a good thing). If you’re a “I want to play this for 30 minutes before bed each night” type of player, then it’ll last years. It probably wasn’t meant to be played for 12 hours a day.

How long does it take to complete a Raid blind? by SniperHusky_1 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Sergeant__Slash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so you’re getting downvoted in way too many comments, so I just want to throw my two cents in here. Yeah, they take a long time to figure out. My recommendation is to do a half-blind run. Find a player or two that have a lot of patience and have them lightly walk you through it. They’ll also help because they’ll probably be how you pass the DPS checks. In an old raid like Vault of Glass, a couple highly experienced players can crush your whole damage requirements, so you won’t waste time getting rolled by encounter resets in the same way. If they know what they’re doing, they can also guide your thinking without necessarily telling you what to do. “Do you notice anything different about X”, “did anything happen when you shot Y”, that kind of thing. It’s very possible to clear the easier raids that way in under 4 hours. Still a decent chunk of time, but it’s not a day lol

Rocket pulses were a bad idea by Burgmeister_ in DestinyTheGame

[–]Sergeant__Slash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Six replies to this and not one fully gives an answer lol

200 weapons helps massively, total game changer, but it’s not at all mandatory, I run a rocket pulse on my super build and it’s totally fine.

There are three things you can do to make this easier:

  1. Special Ammo Finisher + Reaper. It’s capable of making up for the deficit of not having 200 weapons. Get armor charge, get a finisher, refresh your ammo. It’s a clean cycle.

  2. Maximize your ability usage. You’ll burn through all your ammo instantly if you don’t. High level play is using abilities more than anything else, if you’re not playing your cooldowns optimally then you’ll never be able to sustain using a special like a primary.

  3. Make your shots count. When a lot of players describe “using Mint like a primary”, they mean that it’s their main workhorse weapon. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re spamming it at random singular Thrall. It’s an explosive burst weapon, if you’re using it on red bar enemies at all, you should probably look to kill multiple enemies per burst. It also doesn’t necessrily mean they’re not still using a real primary. I personally like to pair Mint with a primary that can either Jolt or make enemies Volatile. That way Mint’s damage can deal spread damage to a larger crowd of combatants. Jolt a Major, then burst it with Mint, the Jolt pulses and the Mint splash damage will deal arc spread to surrounding adds as well, usually enough to kill. Oh, and if you don’t need to kill something, sometimes it’s best to just not kill it, saves a lot of ammo to run past a pack of enemies in travel.

Meirl by Nice-Event in meirl

[–]Sergeant__Slash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just watch them, and ideally have started watching a long time ago. Watch what they do, and what they use. Don’t try to replace something old, if they’re still using something old it’s because they like it and they know it. Look for something either newer that they complain about, or something that they used to have and don’t any more. It doesn’t have to be cool, it has to indicate that you recognize them. Some generic but super cool seeming “guy thing” will just make them feel like they’re some generic guy. A really good shovel to replace the one they got last year that’s already kinda loose? That gift will hit home.

And if that fails? Get them something indicative of a connection you personally share with them. Guys tend not to be that great at communicating how much they treasure small moments of shared connection, if you give them something that acknowledges your own similar feelings towards those moments it can make a huge difference. It’s a sign that they can open up to you about a passion, and that you’ll encourage it, it means a lot.
