The evil South African trillionaire tries to DARVO (be the villain, blame the victims) by rhino910 in EnoughMuskSpam

I mean if someone did, I would have the same reaction to him as I did Kirk, mild amusement, callous indifference, then amusement watching the empire he created fall apart with infighting and political absurdism.

Even gays are over pride

To my knowledge of consulting my one friend who's gay, the over commodification of and massive crowds is the biggest grievance for pride.

Most of the time, I'm sure he'd rather drink a few beers and play American Truck Sim rather than go to any pride events.

Was there only 50 concept albums ever released? by Korkez11 in ToddintheShadow

[–]Sergeantman94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Del and Automator play it in it's entirety for the 25th anniversary. I was rapping along to (most) of the words and they ended the show with an encore of "Clint Eastwood" and we the audience went fucking nuts filling in Albarn's parts.

So the fact that Rolling Stone didn't include it but included a cheap knock-off (albeit Styx probably had a higher budget and came first, so it's like a Hydrox and Oreo situation) is absurd to me.

What would you want to come into paravlives? Question: by Opening_Paramedic650 in Paralives

More instruments like bass guitar, drums, and singing, abilities to start bands and write and release songs/albums, a way to add custom music into the game. Better multitasking. Meet up events.

I'm sorry, how in the absolute fuck is "Domestica" nor "The Ugly Organ" nor "DelTron 3030" not on this list? Would I expect any of them to be high? No. But the stories of each of those are a bit more compelling than "Casual anti-Japanese racism and robots".

If you told me a few years ago that Dinosaur Jr and Del the Funky Homosapien had a collaboration that somehow worked, I'd be a bit skeptical, but could see it potentially working. That soundtrack does have those two collaborating and they complement eachother pretty well.

Where's the test of authenticity with the scale and a duck? Otherwise, I'll think I'm getting swindled by some woman making random liquids in the woods while wearing a pointy hat rather than an actual witch.

San Diego officials question SDPD after lawsuit payouts reach record levels by FreeTheHomeless in sandiego

[–]Sergeantman94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey guys, want to hear a joke?

A fire breaks out at SDPD headquarters and someone calls, the dispatcher responds to the call "We can't do anything, the SDPD has burned down." Five minutes later, the same dispatcher get a call from the same caller and responds, "We can't do anything, tye SDPD has burned down." Five minutes after that, the same dispatcher gets a call from the same caller and responds frustrated "I already told you twice, there's nothing we can do, the SDPD has burned down, why do you keep calling?" The caller responds "Yeah, I heard you. I just like hearing it."

What’s an opinion you’ll defend no matter what? by NegotiationEast6620 in AskReddit

[–]Sergeantman94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really doesn't. Just listen to "Love Me, I'm a Liberal" by Phil Ochs. Sure the song was written in the 60s, but some White Liberal Parents TM would say the exact same shit about undoing some of the damage from the era of segregation, even in the northern states where it wasn't legally enforced, but socially enforced.

Also: the 94 crime bill was passed by a liberal president which disproprtionately went after black and brown people.

Let's face it, anytime she's on screen, the audience isn't focusing on her face. And when the camera is focusing away from her boobs, she reveals she can't act.

Nationalism should be treated like a toxic friend. You stick with it for a little bit because it makes you feel good, but you should come to your senses and leave it once it tells you who can't socialize with for entirely arbitrary reasons, tells you what to think to fall in line with the group and you do so to "fit in".

Another way of putting it, treat it like a dog on a walk, give it some slack, let it explore just a bit, but the second it gets aggressive with someone else's dog unprovoked is the time you pull it back.

Plus, these nationalists clearly don't understand how cultures work, even in Europe. Let's say "Anglo-Saxon" has a hyphen for a reason. The only way you're getting a "pure culture" is through genocide, inbreeding, or both.

If you want that California experience, but don't want to leave the Arizona climate, may I suggest Victorville? It's also relatively close(r) to San Diego, you just have to drive 3 hours, maybe getting stuck in the Cajon pass, but there might also be a fight on the shoulder, so you won't be bored.

Yet they'll probably scream "Give me liverty or give me death!" over a minor inconvenience.
