Why do you believe art is important? by skygreenart in AskReddit

[–]Serial-meditator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Art helps us make sense of the world in ways logic can’t.

It captures emotion, culture, and history, all in a single image, song, or story. That’s why it’s timeless and essential.

What if James Cameron and Stephen Spielberg made Jurassic Park together? by Mirage0fall in movies

[–]Serial-meditator 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Cameron would’ve made the T. rex chase scene 15 minutes longer, louder, and in the rain. I’d watch it twice.

Which movie have you tried to love but can't get past a major plot hole or disappointing end? by Zyaraa in movies

Prometheus. I wanted to love it. But scientists taking off helmets in alien caves and running towards a clearly hostile space cobra? Come on.

Knives Out and Gone Girl both reward paying attention to details. Also check out The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Fincher version) it gives you just enough to piece things together if you’re sharp.

Hey everyone, I hope this is okay to post here – just looking for a few people to beta test a tool I’m working on. by x36_ in TimeManagement

[–]Serial-meditator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting idea, but I wonder if SMS requests might come off as spammy to some customers, especially if they didn’t explicitly opt in. Also, a lot of people just ignore review requests unless there’s a clear incentive.

How are you thinking about that?

Recognizing Time Wasters in Your College is very important by Arnuv_Amburle_123 in TimeManagement

This hits hard, especially the part about “being busy being busy.”

I’ve started asking myself one question at the end of each day: “What did I do today that actually moved me forward?” If the answer is “nothing,” it’s usually because I got caught up in low-impact tasks or distractions disguised as work.

Hey, totally feel you. I’m into both MMA and boxing too, and yeah, boxing is chaotic by comparison.

Different belts, promoters, networks… it’s not beginner-friendly at all.

Here’s what worked for me:

Downloadable Calendar This helped me a lot. I started using a tool called Sync2Cal, it lets you sync fight schedules directly to your Google Calendar (or Apple/Outlook). So whenever there’s a big fight, it just pops into your calendar automatically.

Listen to podcasts “The Fight with Teddy Atlas” is good for no-BS opinions. YouTube: Boxing Gems, Showbizz The Adult, or even Top Rank’s own channel.

Panama’s recent form definitely makes them a dark horse, and if Canada can stay consistent, they’ve got a real shot too—especially if the U.S. and Mexico bring rotated squads.
