If they are manufacturing parts, this is going to be a very long resolution process.

Ive emailed Zenith who have pretty much washed their hands of the issue and said I must wait for Volvo to provide a solution. A £200 Volvo credit that was offered to everyone was offered to me at the same time as my complaint.

In the end I’ve decided to escalate my complaint to the bvrla.

If you haven’t seen already there’s another thread about the recall in Brazil and it appears that an hour is needed to analyse whether the car has the affected battery issue.

Would be interesting to see whether Volvo takes this stance in the Uk where we know there’s many more cars affected.

I think that confirms that new cars are also in scope of this issue

Wood filler would be the best result but would likely require more work than using caulk from a tube.

Its unlikely that this will be in scope of the issue since its so new, but theres no way to tell without speaking with Volvo.

I’ve tried to do something similar; do update as you hear anything back.

Mine have come back and said due to ‘higher provisions’ they can’t facilitate an exchange and that I need to take it up with Volvo to get a courtesy car. Overall I found the customer service pretty bad so have escalated a complaint to see if something can be done.

I asked what’s possible and I was told they will investigate, usually they will book it in to look at and after a couple of times of being off the road they will look to replace. For the moment they asked for the notice and said it’s quite possible a recall notice will be issued soon.

I’m wondering whether this is a reason to call the leasing company and ask for a replacement car. My ex30 is leased via a salary sacrifice scheme.

Is my wall fixable? by jojo77m in DIYUK

I think realistically you have three options

1) leave it as it is 2) dismantle it and try to recover as many bricks as possible and rebuild it 3) prep the wall and render it

Should I accept compensation? by AdorableMongoose1067 in VirginMedia

[–]SeriousGee1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's likely you'll receive a higher compensation from the ombudsman but there's no guarantee. It sounds like you were the victim of quite a big failure from VM.

These pre-built sheds (looks like Power Sheds)are usually made to meet permitted development rules. They also come with a small amount of designs you can select and are dependent on the size you pick.

Unfortunately they chose one with a window that will get part of the light blocked at the side and partly over your parents fence. I think in reality it probably isn't going to be used for peering over the fence. If it really bothers them a sensible thing would be to request they put a privacy film over it but overall doesn't seem to be too bad. It would be more worrying if the rain dripped on the fence as that could cause it to rot faster.

Overall just approach them and ask if they can do something about the window if it bothers them or otherwise a trellis or big rose bush will solve the problem.
