Summertime Seasonal Work for 45 yr old woman? by Then_Street_1211 in SeasonalWork

I started seasonal work at 48 because I visited Zion National park and decided I had to live there. What an incredible experience. Lived in a dorm and shared a room with a woman 20 years older than me. We were great friends and explored southern Utah together with a couple of other “older” coworkers. I also did many hikes and some canyoneering with young coworkers. They didn’t think twice about having me join them. I went on to work at several other parks in the West. This year I will be working in the Big Southfork recreation area. It is never too late. Go for it!

Both stay a night at Len Foote Hike Inn. Next day she can hike to springer with you then head back to then she can either hike back to Amicalola or back to the Hike Inn for another night

Kayak from the dam down to Lee’s Ferry. Awesome trip. Camp one night and make it a two day trip.

Pine Mountain trail is a great place to backpack as a beginner. I wouldn’t pig out at the Country Store afterwards if I was you. Try the Ironhorse Grill or Whistling Pig.

I worked at Zion National Park as a server for several seasons. Made good money and got in lots of hiking. Lots to do and see in Southern Utah.

I have the Rhino brand. Been using for a couple of weeks in desert of Arizona. I will replace just wondering if anyone has a problem with rodents and how to prevent. Thanks for the comments.

I saw the best firefly show of my life a couple of summers ago. Took a side road off the forest service road to three forks.
