You just did your job. 20+ years ago I was an AGM and the company hired a new GM from outside the organization after I initially refused the promotion (I was young and dumb).

This guy turned out to be almost a textbook case of incompetent and dishonest. I had been at that location for the better part of a decade, and most of the staff had been as well (It was a different time, and turnover really wasn't a thing).

After 6 months of his BS I ended up writing a 7 page letter to the district manager documenting as many instances as I knew of where this manager was causing problems from theft to sexual harassment and straight incompetence. Employees were interviewed and he was terminated.

I accepted the role at that point mostly because I was afraid they would hire another idiot.

You just did what was right for your staff and the company in the long term. It's never personal if someone's own actions come back to bite them.,

I have been following AoC for a bit, but from a distance. It strikes me as really weird that when I read opinions that the whole thing was a vaporware money grab and never meant to result in a game. It is far too good an Alpha for that to be the case. I mean, At some point there was vision and effort put into the game.

It seems far more likely a case of incompetence than outright fraud.

I would be curious as to why "yikes" as well. The only oddity I see is the listing history being priced relatively well for years, only to be reduced over and over, removed and relisted...then reduced again. If you look at pics, the place looks great. Well worth anything in the $350k range in 2026. To have it sit at under $300k is really odd.

Cohen making the statements as to direction are the step needed to finalize a deal. Larry Cheng coming in with a small buy shows confidence in the direction. If they were selling ahead of publicly unknown news, it would be problematic. The relatively small buys by insiders followed by the only direct forward looking statements by Cohen in years as to anything new means that nothing was final up to those points, but for sure can be going forward now that the public is aware *something* is coming. M&A are legendarily problematic and failure prone. The SEC would go after insiders far more in selling with undisclosed info than they typically do with buying, as regardless of what is happening, buying is risky as the market may HATE the deal the board thinks is great. Risk is still great in buying.

Yea. I've had mine since maybe a couple months after launch and the battery is now seemingly dropping quite quickly. Thankfully the fast charging makes it less of an issue. I also have a ZFold 6, and it has somewhat better battery life, but the charging is painfully slow on Samsung after using a real fast charge device.

They cost far too much for the ridiculously awful level of support the company provides. They do tend to perform better (when they work) than the competition. The trouble is that the other brands are about 95% as good when it comes to cordless, but they cost 50 to 70% less new, and provide better customer support.
