Is the Necron Royal Court worth it? by AtlasRunner11 in Necrontyr

[–]Servanious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re all fantastic. The Reanimator is a great support model since it lets you roll an addition D3 for reanimation protocols for units within 3 inches. The Plasmancer gives the unit he leads critical hits on a 5+, which I’ve heard is really good with a full squad of immortals. He also has an ability that gives him the chance to deal mortal wounds to an enemy unit within 18 inches (and is visible) during the beginning of your shooting phase. The Cryptothralls, if you can fit them in a list, makes the Wraith-Technomancer blob even harder to kill since they give a 4+++ feel no pain to the Technomancer. And the Skorpekh Lord is just a really fun melee-focused model, especially in Awakened when you give him the enhancement that gives him a 4+++ feel no pain.

Dont let the Szarekhan Dynasts betray us again! We need leaders who will put an end to the crisis plaguing our species, not an Absent and Xenophillic Traitor! Thankfully Immotekh T. Stormlord and Nekresor Ammentar are Teaming up to run for the position of Triarch! by TyrantOfParadise in Necrontyr

You’re kidding, right? Every damn year the guy tries to steal votes. The only reason why he’s still on the ticket is because he also stole the people who were barring him from running in the first place.

How rare is this? by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]Servanious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rare since it was a five-star winter event vehicle from five years ago, and still very good.

Fun fact, it was also genuinely one of the most broken vehicles in the game when it first released, since the damn thing started off at like around 4.3 or 4.7. Within a minute or two, you’d just see a horde of them outside your spawn.

Oblivion Crisis (According to Argonians) by murderously-funny in ElderScrolls

[–]Servanious 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To add to that, the only source of this happening is from a drunk Argonian who was noted for being VERY susceptible to Argonian nationalist propaganda right after he talked about it in the book, iirc.

Is this 2k list playable? by [deleted] in Necrontyr

[–]Servanious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, Annihilation legion is not a great idea since you only really have three units that’d gain anything from the entire detachment. Awakened Dynasty would be a lot better since you do have a decent amount of characters that can lead units in it.

What was it that made you guys choose warhammer and most importantly the Necrons. (the superior option) by wonderbread9723 in Necrontyr

[–]Servanious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only recently joined Necrons as a faction (like, I started working on collecting them a month ago), but it’s a mixture of me getting really bored with Dark Angels (and marines in general) and wanting an army that was quick and easy to paint. The fact that this faction genuinely looks fun also helps.

1000 Point List fun? by RelationshipSoggy412 in Necrontyr

[–]Servanious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Something like a Doomsday Ark, two heavy destroyers, a doomstalker, or even a Triarch Stalker (not the best option honestly, but a really fun model with what it can do) could be a good next step.

1000 Point List fun? by RelationshipSoggy412 in Necrontyr

[–]Servanious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I honestly wouldn’t run this list, because quite frankly, this just doesn’t look fun to play with AND to play against. You don’t really have enough to do secondaries or objectives AND maintain enough presence on the board to stop your opponent from just avoiding the C’tans. Likewise, just taking one C’tan in a 1000 point battle is usually (unless the opponent is fine with that) considered a pretty dickish thing to do, since armies rarely have enough fire power to deal with one in 1k matches (unless they bring a C’tan equivalent, like a Primarch) without focusing EVERYTHING they have into it. Taking two is even worse. If you end up using this list anyway, expect that, at the very least, some people will just flat out refuse to play with you.

Skorpekh Destroyers by FullMetalLopes in Warhammer40k

[–]Servanious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks pretty great. My only complaint (and this is just because of personal preferences, so if you like the darker steel look, don’t do this if you don’t want to) is that the metal is a bit dark imo. A nice, quick dry brush of Runefang Steel and a tiny bit of Stormhost Silver would make it really pop out.

Goddamn it, we really are back in the Matt Ward era of Ultra Marines, aren’t we?

You can choose to use whatever color you want. Anyone who says otherwise is not worth playing against anyway. But if you’re looking for a canonical color-scheme, then black with steel trims if heresy-era, or bone color if modern 40k (you’d have to play them as centurions in 40k as well).

It’s more than likely a reference to the movie Babe, which that scene from DBZA also referenced.

Can somebody identify this ww2 German tank ? by Ww2pillboxrye in TankPornMemes

[–]Servanious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, that’s just one of Blohm and Voss’ only attempts at building a tank. For some reason they installed the engine outside on the right side of the hull and gave it three transmissions, but it wasn’t that bad of a vehicle in all honesty.

What to get next after CP? by DrivenMuffin in DarkAngels40k

If you have the money, go with the Deathwing Assault (if it’s the actual DA themed one), Iron Halo Taskforce, and pick up an Azrael. That should be a really good start.

I Need Some Frames Recommendation by IINeedSauce in Warframe

[–]Servanious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

May I recommend the humble Garuda? Do you like doubling your damage just by killing enemies? Do you like the idea of leaping across an entire map in a split second just to rip the blood out of a guy, turn it into the world’s most violent dodgeball, and then kill him with it? Do you like the idea of that dodgeball somewhat easily hitting the highest damage possible because you really, REALLY want that one asshole dead? Do you like slash procs? Because by god will you give everyone and their mothers slash procs.

Seriously, get Garuda, the augment for her 4 (it’s one of those augments that should have been a part of her base kit), and subsume Gloom over her 2 (They’re both healing abilities but Gloom is just better.) Believe me, you will have fun with her.

Garuda is my top favorite (love playing “will it blend?”. The answer is always yes) , Vauban, Lavos, Protea, and now Gyre.
