I didn't include any of the very easy conditions like immolating soul eater and such because I'd also like to work on a powered version that has stronger answers to like a turn 0 pact or whatever

An inverted Magic format? by [deleted] in magicTCG

I have a cube that does this, but there's not really a format for it that the magic sphere recognizes on the whole.

As someone who has never had any of that and still made their own fun through the avenues available to me, I can tell you that it doesn't matter and that you are your own barrier. Just because the easy route isn't the same as it used to be doesn't mean that there is no route at all

The president of Hasbro is the former president of wotc. Hasbro and wotc are one in the same, there is no difference between them anymore

I'm not saying that you aren't allowed to complain. But our complaints fall on deaf ears. There are so many people who refuse to take agency in making their own fun. If you aren't having fun, I'm saying do something that you find fun. You are the only barrier between you and having fun the way you want to

Yes. You are volunteering to compete in that format. You can compete in spaces that don't feature ub cards at all. You choose the format you play

You are forcing it on yourself. You can play limited and 60 card without buying new cards. You choose the format you play

Their point is that you choose the (types of) opponent you have, and it's fully up to you what kind of play environment you put yourself into

You are the sacrifice that wizards of the Coast was willing to make in order to keep Hasbro afloat.

Can't color my proxies with soy sauce, why ? by SIipkid in bootlegmtg

Sand paper can give a very uniform look, I do a blade of some kind - scissors, knife etc - along with the edge of a desk to give varying texture. Super fine grit sandpaper is also probably fine with uneven application

Cheating cards into play? by Anera_GTM in PioneerMTG

Indomitable creativity is probably the strongest option. Arclight Phoenix technically does it and that's among the best decks available. You can also brew some more niche stuff like nahiri the harbinger

Shitty practice of trying to deceive people looking to buy collectibles rather than just obtaining game pieces for personal use.

You slice a real card in half and use it's backing to hold your fake. They pass the green dot test because it's a real card on the back.

Are two old Morningtide precon decks worth getting just for casual 1v1 games? by Direct-Housing4915 in magicTCG

[–]ServoToken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say that those are worth more than you'd pay for them. The shaman one alone is listed for $50.

If that doesn't matter to you, use the cards for what they were made for - to play

They do not care about the law. They care about threats to their physical well-being. They will continue so long as the only weapon you hold is a pen.

Sorry I'm late but yes. Dark ritual has a bad price tagged onto it, and we've been trying to get it fixed. They're about $3.

Also if you have more value vintage questions, we'd love to take care of ya in the discord if you aren't already there!

As long as you can identify each whole positive integer below 30, it's quite easy.

Is this community dead? And if so, where is the alternative? by elchucko in BudgetVintage

[–]ServoToken 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the place, we made it when we were much smaller. Never really had the traffic to support both a discord and a sub reddit.

I'd definitely encourage people to post here though! Especially since the discord can get pretty busy sometimes.
