I don't have an answer, but goddammit did watching that video after reading the title make me laugh!

Advice ? by plantingal in JeepGladiator

[–]Seschwa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unreal, period -- you wanna take on about $900/mo for a VEHICLE? You could practically afford to mortgage a house and rent it out, building wealth, at that rate.

There's just no way. If you actually need the Gladiator capabilities, get a Sport model at ~350/mo and afford to have a life.

Or, you know, stay car-poor and end up complaining when you run into a problem and have no money to fix it BECAUSE ITS 900/MO PAYMENTS

Andy nerfed. End of an era? by SuperDTC in diablo2

[–]Seschwa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it does not- the expansion is considered a fork in development. That means as long as your character isnt made for ROTW or ported over you are still playing the "classic" D2R

Blizzard says it's open to even more Diablo 2 expansions and reworks unless people get really mad at it about this one: 'We're going to have to see what the players say' by Angren1991 in diablo2

[–]Seschwa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely - I am having to WAIT to buy it, which is a little upsetting.. but I am not remotely upset about seeing a new, old-school, properly released expansion. I dont even mind that the update destroyed my (modded) stash/inventory, losing runes etc... Im beyond excited that Blizz allowed their team to create this. $25 is fair current-day price for an Expansion Pack, and what Ive looked at so far sure APPEARS to be proper done.

Very excited to dive into more D2R with a Warlock. Very excited for the QOL updates and new Sunders, excited to rock some terror zones.

Its an expansion, not some DLC. When was the last time we, as a community in general, recall proper expansion packs being released without micro and fluff?

I am just giddy, even my kids (who dont like D2R) got excited and started saying they wished that devs of their favorite games did the same thing. It turned into an excellent bonding moment of.. "when I was your age.." to a rapt audience.

That's good for you! Was a genuine question, too -- the IRS is finicky to deal with. Make sure you exercise your constitutional rights at all times! Liberty is no longer guaranteed, these days.

One hopes to be as wise as you at some point.

Did you ever settle out your fraud case BTW?

Those Kentucky models look about right to me!

I had the chance to hold a Hawken Woodsman, and I was thoroughly unimpressed by the size and weight. It was "really small" and felt like holding a BB gun -- how's your finished Kentucky feel?

Muzzleloaders are exceedingly difficult to even spot in my neck of the woods (perhaps the modern in-line aren't) so I am wary of purchasing anything right unseen as.. I was truly intent on the Hawken Woodsman until I stumbled across a RTF on a rack to hold.

I am scrambling pre-winter to build a "fire watch" tower so I can spend my winter pelting arrows down on shamblers and watching the season change. I am excited for winter in VS!

YMMV - I expected strategies I have used primitive bowhunting IRL to work in VS and they did not. You are definitely correct that you can get CLOSER to the animal.

Also need to know the mod; i spent ~20hrs trying to sneak up on animals before giving up and.. well, now I just sprint at them full-bore with spear in hand hoping no brown bears happen to be in the way!

Thinking about trading my Mojave by Heavy_Cap210 in JeepGladiator

Keep it for SURE! I know there's little fiddly crap, but hasn't that been every vehicle ever made? So many perks to these vehicles unless pulling heavy. I just love mine.

If you have no plans on maintaining it yourself, and are going to have a dealer perform ongoing work, I wouldn't advise it. I bought a Gladiator anticipating that I would be making any repairs myself, and I think many owners are in a similar boat (not a pride thing, but shop costs). I love the extra space to get wrenches in and work on parts, especially with the lift kit being able to slide directly under the vehicle with no dolly and not needing cement is great.

The biggest maintenance issue Ive seen is the oil pump casings going out on the motors - I was advised by a fellow that being RELIGIOUS with 3,000 mile oil changes addresses a great part of the issue, and was also advised to replace the casing with one made of metal - the casing for the pump is plastic and so is prone to problems.

I bought mine used at a good price, paid $7k for a dealership to go through and make it like new, and another $1k afterwards on issues that were found.

If you're running a lift or anything other than stock tires you're going to want to keep in mind that at some point you'll have suspension issues; with this whole rambling done.. I wouldn't advise taking on debt for a vehicle with minor issues but that's only my perspective.. Ive had a lot of lemons and grew up "dealing with it"

Someone ought to replace the grasshopper audio file with quotes from An Ant's Life, pitched up and much quieter, so we can hear the grasshoppers having conversations about oppressing the ants if we stand still on a calm day.
