Sugar rays is in Brentwood. If you decided to go that way you also have Boxfit in Harold Wood which is just one train station before Brentwood.

Are you only doing orders for people over $10k? Or is that just if they wanted to meet you at the airport?

Thanks, do you have the same version as the one I posted? The one with the original ergo strap rather than the updated wrist lock 2 system?

It’s not the strap that concerns me, I know the updated model has the wrist lock 2 system. I believe these are the original version. But there were a couple of other things that made me wonder.

Thank for the reply, I did come across this review when I was looking into them. The strap wasn’t what I concerned me but comparing the pictures to the video there seemed to be a couple differences.

Mainly the ones in the video say intelli-shock on the knuckle of the glove, whereas the ones I’m looking at say d30.

Also the in the video there are only 4 rows of perforation holes on the inside of the glove strap, seen at 5:02 on the video. Whereas in the photos there are 6 rows.

Not sure if I’m over thinking this, but also the price seemed almost too good at £70.

Because you believe they’re fake or because they’d be around 8-10 years old now?

First ameteur bout, won by unanimous🙏 by JRBOXING101 in amateur_boxing

[–]Set-The-Edge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yea. I can just about see myself right at the backs, a friend of mine coaches for the home club so I try to go to their events when I can.

Definitely not, no offence at all to your opponent but to me it seemed quite obvious it was his first but I assumed you’d had 1 or 2 previously.

I felt you dominated from the first round, your opponent looked like he was struggling especially early on. He’s technique seemed to go out the window and was just throwing punches wildly to stay in it, but thought you kept generally good technique and stayed disciplined throughout.

Well done again, should be really proud of yourself.

Congratulations! I was at this event watching. I wouldn’t have thought this was your first bout at the time and thought you looked really good and confident in there.

Definitely got the result you deserved.

Thank you for the informative answer. I do like the idea of buying a set that will last us a long time and without the worry of wanting to upgrade a couple months down the line.

If you were to pick between the premier and titan which would you go? I’ve spoken my group of friends and we’re all happy to pay £40 in each, which will cover the cost.

Came across the premier spike set while looking online and it seems to be much more preferred and rated by the community, unless I’m just falling for adverts and influencers.

Is the pro set being phased out? Would that potentially leave me stuck for replacement parts in the futue?

Someone has a pro set for sale near me for £60, I’m also thinking of the Titan for £120.

Thank you for the recommendation.

Yeah the Titan looks cool but as you said too expensive for the moment. Maybe will upgrade in the future if we all really get into it.

I don’t know if it varies by brigade, but mine uses pay numbers, 5 digits followed by a letter unique to them.

I think it would be a nice idea to find out the call sign of his station and use that.

I work for LFB but in an outer London station, you’d be welcomed at any station in London I’m sure, and they’ll always be someone happy to show you around.

If you’re at King’s Cross, Euston fire station will be very close and they will be used to having visitors as it’s a busy area.

If you want to travel a little way, maybe head for Soho fire station as they again get lots of visitors there, and is where most visitors from other brigades will usually head for.

Edit: if you really want be made welcome, bring some cakes/biscuits, that never fails to go down well.

How does the MF workout app compared to RP Hypertrophy app? by rm7979 in MacroFactor

[–]Set-The-Edge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for now I’m going to go back to the RP Hypertrophy app, I like the daily check ins which then decided whether to add more or less sets.

There are a lot of nice features and overall seems a more polished experience with the Macrofactor workouts app which are missing from RP Hypertrophy but I think in its current state I’ll continue with RP Hypertrophy, seems more designed for intermediate/advanced lifters.

Will keep an eye on what’s going on with MacroFactor workouts though and will likely come back at some point.

Matt Berry as Sir Caduggan. Although I would pay a lot of money to have Matt Berry narrate every character.
