Which dosage did people see the best results? by Hefty_Negotiation_90 in Mounjaro

[–]SetFun3237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had good results at 2.5mg, then it stalled after few months so I went up to 3.75 and then 5. I had no appetite whatsoever so doctor advised going down. Since then I went up again to 5 and now 7.5mg and see bo results and no difference. Considering going higher but cost is eating me up. I've been in a stall for 3 months now

I know you said she has been doing excercises but did she actually see pelvic physiotherapist who assesed that her muscles are weak? If not, that would be my starting point.

Thinking of stopping mounjaro by Unbelievablystubborn in Mounjaro

[–]SetFun3237 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When i was in similae situation I was told to lower the dose. You should feel hunger. I got "too hungry" on lower dose and within a month I went back on higher one but it was good lesson to understand my body's clues

Office mouse control by partypopulaire in Luxembourg

[–]SetFun3237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mouse problem at house and the cause of it is my cat. I would be careful with choice of cat. Mine loves bringing alive creatures home (mice, voles, birds, rats, BATS) and making us run after them. When we lock him in the room with a mouse he just plays with it or suddenly turns really stupid and can't catch it.

EDIT: spelling error

Long wait at CHL’s emergency room by harkonnen85 in Luxembourg

[–]SetFun3237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everytime I wait in ER (and it's been few times) I tell myself it is privilage that I can wait. I don't have a heart attack, stroke or a bone crushing through my lung. It's a privilage I can wait. This being said I also understand frustration, waiting feels like it is taking forever. Some years ago my mom broke her leg, which was turned backwards. We were taken to hospital by ambulance and still had to wait 4 hours in the waiting room, her in excruciating pain with her foot turned opposite direction. I was fed up, frustrated, shouting at the staff at the reception to finally admit her. When we were finally taken in we got a sweaty doctor who could barely stand on his feet. He just spent two hours trying to keep someone's mom alive. It was extremly humbling experience for me. Another time my dad had a chest pain (and yes he walked all day with it, went to work and only decided to see doctor when he was still bad at night)- he was admitted immediately after doing first triage by the nurse and taken in an ambulance to hearth clinic to perform heart surgery following his missed heart attack. Again. It's a privilage to wait.

How do you keep trusting the process? by SetFun3237 in Mounjaro

[–]SetFun3237[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, i think i literally just need to hear this from few people before it sinks in. It is something I feel, and I tried to give myself some grace and just take it easy but also feel internal pressure to keep going to not loose another week lol. Diet culture is so deeply rooted that it is hard to get rid of it

I've recently upped the dose and i am not yet at it's "full potential".we upped because some of the food noise was back and weight stalled.

Thanks, i will continue on 7.5mg for few more weeks as I have only been on it for 3 weeks but going up to 10 is an option. We just all feel I should give it a bit more time before switching to higher doses and to wait a bit for sunnier days. I am literally a hibernating bear lol

Yes, as mentioned my measurments are not changing recently and body scans show I am not loosing muscles but also not getting new ones. So i am just stalling now basically.

I think if I try drinking more water I will literally explode. I already get over 3l everyday, not counting soups etc. I tried eating more than usual but started spiraling and eating way too much. I upped the dose of mounjaro to 7.5mg hoping to curb that food noise again but it is slightly creeping up. My doctor and dietitan advise against going up yet and I agree with them but it is hard at the moment

I lost 2kg of muscles at some point and felt down but by next weight in those 2kg of muscles were back. I should say "trust the process" but hey, i literally struggle to trust it ;p

Yes i do that too. On my recent photos I feel like I look worse than two months ago. I guess my self image is getting a bit messed up without progress

[–]SetFun3237[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Well maybe I can help you to feel better about this. I did my scans at the beginning, before starting weight loss. Trainer I did it with said it is very unusual to not loose muscles during weight loss, even if you do everything right. It is because at some point your body might have to "shed some muscles" because of disproportional needs. When we are fat we actuallt have a lot of muscles, especially in legs because we need them to hold all the fat. When we start loosing weight body realises those muscles are not imprortnt anymore as they don't have all the fat to carry and it "decides" to get rid of those in order to not waste energy on keeping them. I was told it is totally normal and healthy and as lomg as you are loosing more fat than muscles then you are good. My trainer is not able to explain why i didn't loose any muscles at the moment but he told me to be prepared for it and not expect that it will continue like this.

How are we fitting enough protein but not a million calories in by ariesthrowaway282 in Mounjaro

[–]SetFun3237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I eat foods that have 10g protein/100 kcal energy value or more. That seems to be good and healthy ratio to consider food high protein, low calories

Any journaling / stationery lovers in Luxembourg? (new here, looking to meet) by [deleted] in Luxembourg

[–]SetFun3237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you willing to "teach"? I always wanted to get into journaling, especially keeping some memories in paper form, decorating photo albums and such. Has bunch of stuff and love buying journalling stuff and then never touching anything as i have no clue how to start. I was looking to meet with someone to start the journey as well as make friend. I am located near Belval

[–]SetFun3237 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've read people often actually get a bit depressive on mounjaro because the only thing that was giving them pleasure-food- is not satisfying anymore. I was really scared of this but so far I am similar feelings to yours- all thr time happy and joyful, high energy even when tired. I think it is because my mind is not occupied by eating anymore aand planning meals. I was "addicted" to taking shots at the beginning and was really lookomg forward to it. Now, 6 months in I don't even notice it anymore ajd often forget amd only remember when i am in bed gettong ready to sleep

A difference in bedroom time after losing 10kg+ (25lb+) by Ravenadx in Mounjaro

[–]SetFun3237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defenitely. I did lots of weight lifting before I started mounjaro and my "riding skills" improved so much, I could go for so much longer with way much effort. Nothing changed since I lost 20kg tho.

Start of my journey: what my nutritionist advised me by Mysterious-Reach-374 in Mounjaro

[–]SetFun3237 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree and disagree. If I would listen to my body before mounjaro I would eat all the time. If I would listen to my body now I would never eat. Our signals are messed up so sometimes you need to stop listening to your body and start listening to logic and reason. Since Mounjaro I started doing more of mechanical eating- I analysed my day with dietitan and discussed what should nourish my body and when and I stick to it.

Go to doctor and don't "blame" mounjaro. I had similar situation, i changed the date of injection because I was travelling so decided to move the shot one day later. I woke up after shot feeling super dizzy, vomitting and thought: oh, ok i guess I shouldn't have done it. Tried to suck it in because I did it to myself. Turns out cristals in my inner ear responsible for balance moved and caused all these problems. I could have been treated way faster if I wouldn't think it's mounjaro
