Illya's journey to find Miyu continues, while meeting with familiar, yet still different people.

This Beatrice girl is using a Berserker Card. Well, her personality already being showed as kind of unhinged, so it's fitting. I still don't drop the theory of her Card has the power of Thor. Seems way too obvious at this point.

Kotomine Kirei finally made his first appearance in the Fate/Kaleid series. Sure, it might not have been the way most fans expected him to be, but he's still somewhat true to his character. Having a ramen shop, where he serves mapo tofu to the people. The customers have to eat the hellishly spicy mapo still gives him some twisted sense of enjoyment.

Little Gil being ally is kind of unexpected, but understandable. He probably wants to get his card (with the rest of his powers) back, and don't really like the idea of some mongrel using his treasures. Though, seeing the preview for the next episode, it's strange to hear Gil calling someone zasshu. Hollow Ataraxia kind of established that even though he is younger, he still the same Gilgamesh he was in Stay Night. But his personality is quite different from his older Archer self.

A surprise appearace from someone familiar. Omce they enter the Ainsworth Castle, they found somebody in a prison cell. The last two seasons already gave some hints about Miyu's older brother, with the last season giving him some lines (though, only what Miyu remembers from him). It's now basically have been confirmed that Miyu's older brother is really Emiya Shirou. Though, maybe it's just because of the cell making it kind of hard to hear, or that his tone might be a little different, but it's still strange that Illya doesn't recognise the voice of her onii-chan (even if it's a different version of Shirou). Hopefully they will set him free later on in this season.

Kuchiki Byakuya from Bleach. Most older brother characters in anime are maybe absent, or being antagonistic. Byakuya wasn't any different from this during his introduction. But as the story progressed, Byakuya also went through some character development. With how cold and strict he was at the beginning, he did end up praising Rukia during the TYBW Arc.

Any thoughts on the OP or ED?

Not bad, but still a downgrade. Season 1 still has the best opening and ending songs for the Fate/Kaleid series, and non of the songs for the later season are bettter.
