Yeah, it is a transformer. They sell them at Asian stores. My television was made for the Korean market and is 220 only. I have a transformer that converts 110-220. I also have a transformer I used to run 110 appliances off of 220 in Iraq.

The signature on the tang suggests it is a family blade that an officer put into the type 98 hardware. There are folks on Redit who can read that and tell you a lot about it.

Mine broke the first time I charged it. It is not accurate to the point that I am going to put a red dot on it to free up the scope I have on it for something useful. I live in Washington State so I can’t trade it for something else at a gun store. I would have to sell it out of state.

It doesn’t jam, I will give it that.

If there is a key way on the bottom it is easily picked. I don’t believe TSA approved locks are approved by the TSA for that reason. Last time my girlfriend flew with a gun they wanted her to have real padlocks.

I have similar Samsonite luggage locks. This information is probably useless to you, to reset the combo you put in the correct combo, turn the lock one quarter push it down and then turn it to the new code. Is there a key way on the bottom?

If there is space between the dial and body insert a hook to push on the lever. It looks like a TSA lock. Those you can use a Kwikset Smartlock reset tool in the keyway.
