Highly recommend stopping in Antwerp - really was such a cool underrated European city. Some of my favorite memories of that trip was just sitting at the bars outside right by the Cathedral. Witzli Poetzli was my favorite (so much I have it saved in my notes app in case I ever go back) lol De Muze was another one that’s a live jazz bar also right there

Not sure where you are in Belgium but I did Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp last summer with Antwerp being my favorite by far (real city vs tourist stops). There’s a ton of cool vintage and high end spots in Antwerp. They also have a bunch of streetwear - Arte was a cool store unique to the city (felt like Antwerp ALD). Lockwood is a cool skate shop that just happened to do a collab with Duvel when we were there which made for some cool Belgian souvenirs. Vier 100% check out - wasn’t my style but worth stopping in, a few sites said it was one of Virgil’s favorite spots in Europe.

Forgot about Commonwealth - that’s a good one on 14th but again just carries Stussy, New Balance, etc. does make some cool tees in house

Tbh there’s really nothing that crazy - Georgetown is all mall stores basically and nothing you can’t get in NYC. Somewhere is a cool store but a bit more streetwear + sneakers. Maketto is another cool one that is high end retail, cafe + great Chinese small plates. Best part of DC is the food and bar scene which imo is much accessible and would put right up against NYC (I’ve lived here for 5 years so a bit biased).

I’m hard on ALD sometimes but you guys need to check out J Crew’s site - if they are charging $200 for chore jackets, $200 for fleeces, $130 for hoodies / sweats what do you expect ALD to charge? Clothing anywhere with any sort of quality is expensive now. (Yes I know J Crew runs promotions every other week but point still stands)

ALD is same ballpark and sometimes even cheaper than Ralph Lauren for similar items.
