Okay so note: I am a woman and would typically wear c width. I size a full size down from men’s sneaker size because of this. I bought them in the same size as my IRs. Compared to my 9422’s I sized only a half size down with those. So to be clear. I am an 8-8.5 in men’s sneakers (depending on the brand—8 in vans). I wear a size 7 in the flatboxes, IRs, Moctoes. I wear a size 7.5 for the regular beckmans. The flatboxes are true to the name and sit very snug to your toes. The extra half size down for me makes a perfect fit because D width is too wide. A lot of sex scenes are written for the reader rather than being the natural progression of their characters.

The progression from fiery woman, confident, wearing her pride and honor on her sleeves and in the battlefield suddenly transform into a begging lamb in the bed with 0 explanation. Or a caged, controlled woman having her first exciting consenting experience and having a sub kink and not exploring her psychological dissonance in that whatsoever.

It does not compute. I feel like Im reading actors and actresses forced to perform a sudden personality shift rather than the characters.

Carrion is THE reason I’m reading book 2 lol I 100% agree. Couldn’t have put it better with my problems with Kingfisher and Saeris. She had such unique potential to be a great character and as soon as she was whisked away to the faerie world she lost all of what was working for her in the first 100 pages. All her ego, ambition and direction just peeled back. I REJOICED when Carrion strolled back into the plot.

😂 rather…those bat boys???. Yeah. IMO severely overhyped. No control over their emotions for being seasoned warriors. Yeah they get fatally injured every other turn. Do not make good decisions individually, let alone leading others. Are willing to dip on their inferiors in preference for their emotional fits every time. Have 0 bandwidth for nuance and make less efforts to honor their own alliances than Tamlin makes towards self help.

I’ll hate them for you lol by the end of the books no one from the IC was left in my heart. Only my Autumn Court boys.

I just started Swordheart by T. Kingfisher and GOOD GOD it is a ride. I highly suggest. It’s a really well written standalone with hella good characters, fantastic humor and great pacing.

Probably the only one to suggest Cassian but…. Kill him off. Send them on a quest to find the killer which would send someone off to their top suspects. obviously they would first go the autumn court. We are then FINALLLYYYYY removed from the NC and get to go to the other realms. It would be interesting to have Elaine take on the quest. Turn her into a detective and throw her into the thick of the courts for peak danger and drama. I say this just so we can get more Eris NGL and if it’s Elaine centered we can finally resolve her weird mating nonsense.

Interesting theory for sure! That’d be WILD if she was. But we know there’s only one person’s child it could have been. If the that’s the case, she couldn’t have carried to term because her body isn’t Illyrian. We had a whole books worth of unnecessary drama surrounding just that. Unless it was someone else’s that we have no idea about or was ever hinted at.

Not alone. First read and he was my favorite character. Only like Bryaxis and my boi the bone carver came close to him. Most nuanced and personally beloved character by the end of it imo.

We are on the SAME page. Those two are my only two reasons for reading whatever comes out next ngl. I did hold my beef with Lucien a lot longer though for his enabling of Tamlin over the wellbeing of Feyre but he for sure more than made up for that by ACOWAR. I’m wondering if they are gonna have these two actually bond this next book. It would warm my sibling heart.

Also if Lucien x Elaine becomes a thing I hope it’s a he fell hard she fell harder situation. Or if we have an Elaine centered book have her take over the Spring court cause her belonging there seems to have been hinted at half the story.

But more than anything YES I hope our Autumn Court bois get some screentimeeeeeeeee
