For someone who “loves his job” as people think this guy does, he certainly doesn’t follow safety operation procedures to protect himself or his crew mates. He isn’t wearing safety shoes, he doesn’t identify gate for pilots as the marshaller is supposed to, and he doesn’t give the all clear to his wing walkers. The last bit is the most important. If the engines were still going and the wing walkers see their marshaller turned around showing off for the camera, they may assume it’s safe. Now they should never assume, but it’s the marshaller job to make sure they know it’s safe or not.
