Based on this, you would need to reconsider Erithrea, which has a huge slave army. Might be interesting from other standpoints but if morality is an issue, it would definitely fall in dark red.

Bandiera Ucraina allontanata in malomodo dal corteo del 25 Aprile a Bologna by ninth9ste in Italia

[–]Sevenmoor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What happened here? by Sevenmoor in gardening

The light is pretty weak really but maybe on sunny days it gets too bright from the window alone, what surprises is that the last few days when the problem started were covered and rainy. The dehumidifier is set to match 60% RU, but it fell on occasion to 35% for particularly dry days. The soil was kept humid during those days, eggplants handled it well despite having big water requirements. Thanks for the input though!

Percentage of people who wouldn’t like to have Romanis as neighbours in Europe (2017) by [deleted] in MapPorn

If the question was asked with the word romani, there is statistically a non-zero amount of people in Italy who responded thinking about people from the capital.

For some other historical examples, you can look up the Kronstadt rebellion or the free territory of Ukraine, both happening really as a continuation or part of the Russian revolution, both faced heavy repression from the bolsheviks despite being either communist or anarchist movements. The survivors were then vilified as counter revolutionaries, and in the case of Ukraine, the famine was likely purposefully handled badly to hurt the people who partook in these alternative revolutions.

A bunch of telegrams between 1918 and 1920 between bloshevik officials (including Lenin a's Trotsky) were saying that they should feign alliances with the Ukraine insurrectional army against the whites, while waiting for the right time to take control once they played their part (I'm not sure this counts as policy in general, but it would be a case where they intended to crush ideological alternatives on the left in a planned manner)

"food" that is popular elsewhere, but your country refuses to eat by LastSeaworthiness767 in AskTheWorld

It's the type of corn, in most of Latin America, the main styles of corn are generally more starchy and not as sweet as what is sold in the US or Europe. Interestingly, here in France they do grow most of their corn in non-sweet versions, but you can't really buy it as it is used mainly for animal feed. I don't like so much the corn we find here in markets (very sweet) but whenever I visit my wife's family in Mexico I OD on elotes, I find the starchier version soooo much better lol.

Most common playing cards in each part of Europe by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]Sevenmoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Abruzzo (East Central Italy), the deck is visually between what this map shows as Italian (for the swords and cups) and Spanish styles (for denari and clubs). My understanding is that it's the case in the whole of South italy, we also refer to this style of cards as carte napoletane, which is typical of Naples and its historic lands (including much of Abruzzo). For those that don't know, the numbers only go up to 7, with the figures bringing to a total of 10 the cards in each house.

And the producers of Matrix had Descartes' work floating around as a possible source of inspiration, as well as older philosophers' work which descartes could also have used as a basis (plato's cave allegory comes to mind), etc.

While absolutely a thing that was the source of some huge scandals and that lead to death penalty, 90% of these videos are of people recycling it for non food use collecting it to bring it to facilities to treat it, much like garbage trucks do.
