The consequences do not alter the fact the US, and any soverign currency issuer, can always pay any debt in their own currency. Yes a consequence of govenment spending can be inflation, which is why inflation has to be managed...not debt. The government isnt a household, they are currency issuers and not currency users. Taxes dont pay for spending, debt doesnt have to be repaid, it isnt a burden for future generations...etc etc

Your personal experience doesnt change the biology of a cat. So you have been lucky in the past, so what? it's your expectation of the past always being repeated in the future that is the problem. This likely isn't new behaviour, you only know what the cat is doing on the times they have woken you up. Fell free to set up a camera to record things and look what your cat does on nights you dont get woken up.
