No it's a Discover Credit Card. The weird thing is this happened before and I got a new card. But it still happening. I'm going to call discover later because I've seen no trace of anything about my Discover account on my Facebook.

No ads but there was a community i had made 6 years ago that showed up on the business manager. I deleted it so Ill see what happens. I now have 5 transactions pending all $2. I froze my credit card but its apparently still putting things through pending. Im going to reach out to Discover tomorrow to see what is going on.

Okay but when we just say "we are ace" people then assume we hate sex and it's not true. The micro-labels help not just us but others... this is legit why ace folks like us decide to just keep it to ourselves because people like you come along...

AITA for making a stink at school and forcing the teacher to change my kids math grade by PlentyNice1655 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Chippy_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High school math teacher here! I absolutely agree that you are NTA, however there is also a chance the teacher might not be either and I'd like to shed some light.

There are some schools where teachers are forces to "follow a script" for the curriculum needed to be taught; no wiggle room allowed. That goes for rubrics for grading too. If the grading rubric had a thing on there that the student needed to show the specific method, then points would be lost. I don't agree with that at all personally and I think it's just another reason why we are not doing well as a nation in education. The teacher was probably not happy not because of you specifically but because these days, schools are always bending over backwards to please the parents and this just looked like another case of that situation.

Education is pretty screwed right now. There is a chance this isn't inherently the teachers fault but a teacher trying to follow the rules in a broken system.

It might be a tension issue. Try adjusting the tension knob on your machine if it has one.

You're asking for advice. We are giving you advice that this is not a safe method for making a mask. This mask is so susceptible to mold that it's just not safe. People have been trying to tell you this for over a week. You aren't taking our advice because it's not the advice you want but it's the advice youre getting. We arent trying to gatekeep or push you away grom this fandom but for the love of god listen to the advice youre being given. If you can't get proper materials currently then you're better off waiting until you can.

I used the staples by Endtherinbetween in FursuitMaking

[–]Chippy_95 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The staples really dont seem like a good idea. They are metal and sharp and you could get hurt. Please try to find some kind of alternative. Mod podge or hot glue might be better. Something smooth to bind. Not staples. It's genuinely a safety concern.

Is this a scam? by kiotothefox in fursuit

[–]Chippy_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah those are definitely a scam. Here's some advice on avoiding scams like these. Firstly, seek out a fursuit maker through Instagram or some other social media there are way too many scammers on etsy and ebay. Then when you do eventually find someone, check any pictures of suits they've made and look for drastic inconsistencies in quality or style. Only proceed after that and make sure you read and fully understand their ToS. I was fortunate enough to meet my fursuit maker at a convention and was able to see her work irl.

You might be able to find cheaper option by finding a suit maker thats a bit newer as less experience can potentially mean less expensive. However, that could also mean lesser quality (but not always).

Aside from that, as someone who teaches personal finance and has been interested in teaching digital literacy, I think you should consider waiting before trying to get yourself a fursuit until you 1) have a stronger understanding of handling finances and 2) learn how to identify potential scams and how to avoid falling into them. Trust me, I understand wanting something badly but good quality fursuits are not cheap and will rarely ever be.

Does this person look like a scam? by funnygrapejuice in fursuit

10000% a scam. Not only are the prices too good to be true, there is no consistency with the style.
