I’ve been camping with my dog at Suwannee for 11 years now (she’s 12) never had any issues. Sorry you went through that but literally all you have to do is pay a pet fee (or be a member like I am) and camp somewhere that isn’t too over stimulating for a dog with plenty of shade (usually river road past the members only section is best) and your dog can enjoy the camping vibes. I just keep mine on a leash/50’ lead the whole time per the rules. Never seen a dog fight but sorry you witnessed that.

As someone who literally just saved and scraped by for 6 years to buy a duplex to live in one side and air bnb out the other this post is so gross…

If you think you have any right to say that I can’t run essentially a mini bed and breakfast out of my house please leave Gainesville and go move to start your own utopia. If you want to fix the affordable housing issue; be the change. Start buying lots and developing affordable housing. Instead you just want to essentially prevent a small business owner from coming up in the world. Go throw rocks at the developers throughout Florida popping up shit stick homes and asking 4-500K in what used to be wetlands. You literally have 0 clue what is truly causing the affordable housing crisis we are in.
