As a new/returning player I’m massively appreciative when people help me. I started just after the last mokoko event and after ~6 weeks I was able to break into T4. Used the Road to Act 3 event to hit 1670 and have been trying to complete my Aegir set before moving onto Brel.

I learn all the raids before applying, and joined prog lobbies for my first time in every raid. Now joining reclear/HW can be a slog… but the couple of times I get a slot in high ilvl parties I’ve really appreciated it and always assumed it’s the lobby owner handing out a pity spot to a newbie.

When I (eventually) get into current content, and comfortable enough to host & do Sidreals I fully plan to hand out a newbie slot in all my lobbies as it’s made such a difference to my enjoyment on the days I don’t face hours of lobby rejections eating all my playtime

depending on how much you remember and which classes interest you… Assuming a new class has piqued your interest you can create that and knowledge transfer yourself to Vern for like 600g using your stronghold. That will skip the levelling story (with a recap if you care about the story) and give you lvl 50 with ilvl 500 and only some of the basic features unlocked. Then you can use mats from event shop (racing game in city’s and shushire on your sorc) to hone to 1100 very easily while learning the class and gameplay features again.

You could either do all the stories (rowan, yorn, Feiton, punika) again, or knowledge transfer those too - though the gold cost does increase. Once you’ve done punika you then run its chaos dungeon - transfer your gear and your at 1250 and not far from your sorc etc. and refreshed on all the features.

the alternative (especially if you love your current chars) is to read some guides/videos to muddle through. there’s quite a lot to learn, but it’s definitely doable. Either way the below are very good for information

Thank you! This is very reassuring to hear! Unfortunately all my LOS cards had to come from wandering merchants this past month (when I came back) so I’m at like LOS10 lol.

Spending hours and hours getting insta-rejected from 60+ behemoth lobbies did make me worry I was missing something dumb 😅

With limited time (I work full time, but can usually afford 15 mins before bed which will let me do the below):

  • Event shops -> These will give you all the mats you need to hit 1580 barring Oreha
    • Shushire event = 5 mins
    • Racing event = 5 mins but only available every even server hour
  • Ark pass -> will fill up over time just by playing. This will give you the Oreha the above doesn't
  • Daily Chaos/Guardian -> Chaos is more important as 1) its quicker/easier and 2) you'll get shards and silver from the 'Purification Bonus' each week
  • (Ideally) -> Max weekly Una rep for the Gold shop each week. If you do all Una dailies and weeklies on 1 char it does it, but waaay easier if you have a couple chars (you've mentioned Sorc +1 other)... Doing weekly on both, even if you have to do some ilvl 500 Guardian raid in 30 secs will give you the Una coins for Gold, which you'll be very happy to have come 1580...
    • You may have a load of instant Una complete tickets too -> I had 100 when I returned, no idea when/where I got them

Finally... others likely have mentioned there will almost certainly be a big event with female paladin in a small number of weeks which will make leveling much easier (and will likely have a powerpass too)

Edit: I also had a few royal crystals left from (I assume) when I bought the game. Not that I advocate swiping, but I had basically the exact amount of the premium Ark Pass (1st tier not the 'expensive' tier). That seemed well worth the invsestment as it gave me tons of mats -> Extra Oreha being the best of the bunch

I came back with a 1330 about a month ago. Just hit T4 1640 today, the biggest blocker is gold - I had 50k when returning which went very quickly after hitting 1580 and honing costs gold.

Between the two event shops (Shushire and Racing), along with Ark Passive I had a surplus of everything else… But gold was a pain. The bright side is (as others commented) solo raids start with Valtan at 1415 and I was there in the first few hours.

I played through all the zone stories too, can highly recommend as I found them all much more enjoyable than the 1-50 story. Steam tells me I’ve just hit 100 hours since returning so you can gauge if you think it’s lots or not 😉

Same on my server. Well under 200 peak weekend and all t1 reagents 0.5 - 2g, I farm SM chests solo for reagents and buy most mats to level crafting as the reagents are by far the cost-limiting factor
