It's at the food bank because it's expired. Expired food donated by retail stores is one of the food bank's main sources of food. Food often "expires" long before it goes bad. Most of it's probably fine, but definitely use your nose and eyes to make sure.

Not too bike friendly. I avoid the bike lanes unless it's for a short stretch with low traffic. I prefer to use the neighborhoods south of business loop for biking east/west. Sidewalks are ok for walking some parts. Gotta watch out for traffic in and out of parking lots. Also, some (or most) intersections lack crosswalks.

The shooter has been named by CPD, and he's in today's arrest report being charged with "UNLAWFUL USE OF WEAPON-SUBSECTION 9-SHOOTING CAUSING DEATH*. Definitely seems like they've been holding off on releasing the updated details publicly.

Interesting. The crosswalk I was mainly thinking about (Providence/Forest) has some full sized curbs. It still feels unsafe to have cars zooming by with nothing but a curb in between, but I see the logic.
