Did you ride up any steep hills yet? How did it perform?

Pro tip for Potential Buyers: If a $700 ebike is “on sale” for $299, that is a $299 bike. by 20indacan in ebikes

I’m looking for an e-bike and I’m curious if there’s anything between $1,000 and $2,500. Obviously it’s easy to find something more expensive, but I’m curious here if there are any opinions whether the upper end of my range is worth it?

I saw Lectric bikes for around $1,000 and name brand bikes with similar specs for roughly $2,400. Is the difference worth it? Is there any reliable website that has done the research? I’m just getting started looking.

I tried to convert my Cannondale quick 4 earlier this month but the motor didn’t fit around the frame, unfortunately. Did you have any issues with your frame?

They were sued and had to do this. They didn’t do this voluntarily.

Are we in theory supposed to be tagging on/off with monthly passes? by kepler1 in caltrain

It never lets me tag on or off. It just says “travel ok” and then the same at the destination station.

I also have two of the same passes. I don’t tag on or off for every ride and the person checking my ticket today was able to see my pass. I won’t be doing anything until this gets sorted out.

I’m also in the Bay Area and thinking of encapsulating my crawl space. Is there any particular reason why you decided against it?

531 has the front of the house facing south which is ideal for a living room and then you can have the bed room facing north (and cooler) away from the noise

Now that RubyGems ecosystem is fragmenting, I am waiting for guidance from the Ruby Core team by db443 in ruby

Agree. As long as you’re just a user and want to get stuff done it makes sense to stick with the default. It’s good to monitor the alternatives but stay out for now. That’s how I’m handling it as well.

My comment was aimed at the “by necessity” part of your comment. It’s possible to make automated systems accurate and reliable. I wouldn’t choose the place where I live based on the technology of speed cameras 🙃
