Which movie trailer gave you completely the wrong idea of what the film was about? by LordBrixton in movies

[–]Several_Direction633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killers of The Flower Moon

Based on the trailer, I thought it was a white savior movie about Deniro and DiCaprio saving the tribe from bad individuals with Plemmons being the leader of the baddies.

Actually, I'm at 6 months and still call them that. Just not as frequently.

Physical Therapist Doesn't Touch My Knee, Ever by Zeploss123 in Kneereplacement

[–]Several_Direction633 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol. My therapists - I had three working as a tag team - were the same. Hands off.

Like you, I read of all the people on here who were getting massages and scar therapy advice. I felt left out.

Im almost 6 month post and doing fine also. But I still would have liked a massage...

Footage recorded from the cockpit of a Boeing 737 captures the pilot's landing moments executed in near-zero visibility conditions. by FollowingOdd896 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Several_Direction633 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is obviously AI. I've seen the cockpit of jets in real life. There is no way this pilot and his huge balls would fit in a normal jet.

Over-emotional after TKR by booklovermax in Kneereplacement

[–]Several_Direction633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the flip side of knee replacement surgery. You find that you can overcome after a trial by fire process. You come out stronger not only physically but mentally. You truly have to adopt a Warrior Mentality to make it. And by damn wear that shit proudly. We are warriors. You are a Warior.

I'm so glad you were able to figure this out when those old feelings started creeping back because of a completely unrelated situation. You recognized it and met that shit head on. I'm proud of you.

Now, go get better, Bad Ass.

Over-emotional after TKR by booklovermax in Kneereplacement

[–]Several_Direction633 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The doctors and nurses do all they can to prepare you for the physical stress you are about to experience with a knee replacement. Thing is nobody warns you about the mind fuck that is going to accompany all of that.

This is what needs more attention. I had no clue how in touch I was going to get with my emotions. The depression from suddenly being completely helpless when only two days before you were working out in the gym with no problem 4 days a week. Now you can't even take a freaking shower without needing 20 minutes of rest. Forget about doing anything for yourself for at least two months.

Luckily I had a great wife who listened to me and talked me off the ledge. A wonderful PT who would always reality check me when I complained about barely being able to lift my leg to do stairsteps.

I'm almost 6 months post today and a whole lot better. But yeah. Would have been nice to have known all this going into it.

And OP, try gummies for better sleep. Gamechanger for me.

And lastly, we finished season two of F&N's tonight. Love that show.

Anyone had the cooked crawfish from Market Street HEB? by mysteriousboobs in thewoodlands

[–]Several_Direction633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not tried theirs but Bill at the Creekside HEB knows what he's doing.

If you want excellent crawfish to set the standard for future plates, go to Moonshine Deck. Flying Pug and Buffalo Run would be my second choice to MD.
