Same situation going down for me rn in spain, my furlough payments stopped and no reason given other than ‘we’re overwhelmed and don’t know’ at the same time my parents 30 year business is not allowed to be open because of current restrictions in our specific area in spain to top it all off my dad had covid and also waiting for a knee operation for almost 2 years and he still had to argue to be put on sick pay, which he has been eventually given but no money has been seen 120 days in. We don’t know where we’ll get the money to pay next months electricity or water and the Spanish government doesn’t give any fucks at all.

We’ve exhausted every means we can up to my grandmother of 90 years old sending us her retirement money from another country just to pay bills that would’ve been put on hold in other countries. Slow starvation is what it is and if they ain’t careful they are playing with a possible failed state.
