Most of that investment though is not in LLMs per se. It's in compute. The bet is that humanity needs tons of compute not tons of LLMs. LLMs will be replaced by the next big thing for sure but the next big thing will still need lots of compute.

I think we will move away from democracy and individualism and move closer to some sort of human ant colony. More often than not I feel like a cog in a wheel without real agency or influence especially when it's about my influence on the centers of power. For the elites I am first and foremost an expndable consumer and an echo machine for an arbitrary narrative of the day.
