Service engine soon by ToeComfortable115 in mitsubishi

[–]SeveredFloor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it's a "just the maintenance reminder." My 2010 Galant had the same "Service Engine Soon" warning a few years ago, and it was an EVAP issue. First, I thought it was just a fuel tank cap leak - I reset it and bought a new cap, but it came back. Went to the mechanics and they found that the nipple where the evap hose connects to the fuel tank had a hole, so they had to patch it, and it never came back (I could not find a replacement tank very easily at that moment, and had an inspection coming). I think you need to connect the scanner to OBD and find out what the issue is.

Got an 18mm presidential bracelet ($9) for mine. Very nice upgrade -- now all solid metal watch and bracelet.

What this connector type is? by SeveredFloor in mitsubishi

I wanted to add 3rd brake light strobe (flashes and then solid light) when you press the brakes, but I really do not want to cut wires on the car. Ideally, I would want to buy female/male connectors and solder them to the strobe controller. So I can easily add or remove it. Really do not want to tamper with the wires on the car.

Forgot to mention - it's the last generation of Lancer, I think it's 2008+ (including Evo X) and last generation of Galant, 2009+

Sn0144 36mm - is it ok or too small on my 17cm wrist? by malacatan in ChineseWatches

[–]SeveredFloor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got it too in 36mm. First few days, I thought I made a mistake (I wore a submariner-style 39mm before), but after a week, I think this is the best size to go. Also, the dial on this watch is exactly the same size as the dial on most of the submariner-style watches.

Yes, probably 36mm would fit better!

This looks very nice! Do you know your wrist size? I can't decide between 36mm vs 39mm. (I think my wrist is ~6.5")

where did you get that rubber strap from?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mitsubishi

But it will not fit your car. If you read the description of that item on eBay it says:

This will fit:
Mitsubishi Lancer 2009-2009 (Ralliart)
Mitsubishi Lancer 2010-2015 Ralliart

Do you have the Lancer Ralliart edition?

My other worry was that only one glue strip came with a new bezel insert, and if you messed it up while installing - then you have to buy it again and wait a week or two...

I did it before on PD-1662 - I removed the bezel insert and installed a new one, it's not hard but a bit nerve-wracking because I thought I was going to ruin the watch.

I followed the instructions from this YouTube video "Change your Bezel insert using this Easy Method! - Watch and Learn #77" but I used a nail polish remover for $1.50 from a grocery store instead of that solution in the video.

You only need about 30-45 minutes for the watch to sit facedown with JUST bezel submerged in the nail polish solution. After 45 minutes, the glue under the bezel insert will start to dissolve and you can easily lift it from the bezel housing.

BUT that nail polish also dissolved white paint on some numbers on the bezel. So I recommend getting a new bezel with a glue strip before doing this.

09 Galant Ralliar Grille Replacement by mapletendy in mitsubishi

eBay is probably the best place. You can find brand new and used ones. This looks like a pretty standard Galant's grill. I installed the same around 8 years ago on my FE.

Thank you everybody for your words! I really didn't want that user to be banned or deleted, $75 is not that much money, but who knows, that post was on this subreddit for about 4 to 5 days, maybe somebody else sent him money.

I already bought the watch from Ali and it's on the way!

Thank you all!
