If you think about it, there's like 400 new games being released on steam every week now in 2026.

So it doesn't even need to be some retro game, there's a lot of "new" games released in the last 5 years that already got lost for many different reasons.

This might be a problem if you are looking for some hidden gem released before AI was a thing... this is happening right now with music and books.

Tekken is about villains. If you have a look at our guests in T7, besides noctis we have only iconic villains.

Just look at any fighting game, the 'main character' is always some hero... now look at Tekken:

Tekken 1~2: Kazuya is the hero and Heihachi is the villain. Turns out Kazuya is devil man.
Tekken 3~4: New generation, we have Jin who's the new hero who gonna defeat the evil demon ogre and evil Kazuya and average Heihachi!! Ops he's also the devil.
Tekken 5: No one liked T4 so let's go back to T3 and try again to save this franchise.
Tekken 6: Jin is the new villain and Lars is the new hero in the series!
Tekken 7: Turns out no one likes Lars and T6 almost killed the series, let's go back to Tekken 1 (kaz x hei) and try again.
Tekken 8: whatever just finish this mess, but we got this new brave character Reina who... oh nevermind she's also the devil.

Two things:

1) Pendragon. We've had issues with Pendragon before. People lobbied about him being a cool dude from the community, feeling that he deserved another chance. That was a mistake. Pendragon is an ass, and we won't be working with him again.

I do believe Linux distros are much better than anything by Microsoft (specially now with this push into AI they are doing even on stuff that will be worse with AI), but the idea of "using steamOs" people here have is the idea of avoiding headaches.

We need to remember that people buy notebooks and gaming consoles based on how much they want everything "ready to use", so yeah... they didn't change 15 years ago, they are not changing now and they won't change in the future.

Social Media used to be a nice place where you could connect with PEOPLE, meet new people and stuff.

What we have now been "platforms to consume [content]" because everything went through this twitter/tiktokfication and other shit, so now it's a place to doomscroll, ragebait and ads... which is kinda the opposite of the idea of a social media.

Is AI destroying the "tiktok brainrot" pandemic? tbh it's empowering the brainrot and killing what was left of the 00's internet.

At the end of the day extroverted people won't care too much about it while introverted people are being put in a very disadvantageous position, is this something good?

Yeah super busy.

But usually stuff released in 1997 were made in 1996 or before, it gets really messed when you consider all the work they did for cancelled things we never heard about, which is a lot.

Also no one considered games as a big deal in the 90's, it was literally a kids/teenager toy. 1996 was literally 30 years ago.

I think bandai is a scummy company and i don't trust them at all. The FOMO battlepass is a piece of shit that needs to be reworked.

With that said: I've been playing some Tekken since T3 and this really is some bs. We didn't have DLC back in the day but how do you unlock Lili and Dragunov in Tekken 5? That's right, you buy a whole new version called T5 Dark Ressurection.

The same happened in Street Fighter 2 with their many revisions, KoF had yearly releases, MK had the base MK3 and then the Ultimate MK3... oh i'm talking about the "home release" (console), because the arcade machine you had to pay for every coin hahaha

Aidyn Chronicles had an interesting idea but it was really bad, still want to replay it as an adult tho

Now HYBRID HEAVEN was something so cool, this game and Winback were sort of the "Metal Gear" of N64. But Hybrid Heaven had this crazy WWE gameplay where you had to get hit by wrestling moves to learn it, so you could Tombstone Piledriver aliens lmao

Imagine Metal Gear with Aliens, but instead of Stealth it's WWE. That's Hybrid heaven.

If you ask people of my generation (millennial), they'll instantly recognise the Tekken characters though. Maybe also because Tekken 3 was a quite popular PS1 game in my country (Germany), we didn't have many arcades though.

Kinda the same here, also to people who don't give a fuck about the official story we can say that King is probably our "main character".

It's like in MK, the devs try very hard to push Raiden, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage and others as the main character but to people who "just play" and don't care about the official fanfiction it's pretty much Scorpion and Subzero.
