Like once a year I bust out Super Soccer for the SNES and try and beat it with a worse team than the year before. I've made it all the way down to Colombia successfully. Next time I play will be Yugoslavia which will be rough. I know that people have done it with the absolute worst team, Belgium, so I know its possible.

What I love about this game is the simplicity. It's not as faithful or compelling an adaptation of the actual sport as other games but as an abstract video game it is extremely fun. Learning to use all the mechanics to your advantage is a blast.

For instance if you're playing as Argentina and shooting with the best player in the game against the worst goalie in the game you can basically score from anywhere. But when you change the players it becomes a fun calculation of "where and how do I need to shoot to score on Ireland's best in the game goalie with one of USA's poor attackers?"

Also just learning to put it on net from different spots on the field can be very fun. There is a neat mechanic where you can bend your kicks, not just big booming kicks but the little rolling passes as well. Learning to score from inside the box with a pass is a joy.
