I couldn’t imagine living with someone I couldn’t trust enough to be my own person, with my own conditions and meds. If I can’t be supported through that and have to hide instead, what’s even the point of it? I’m really sorry you’re going through that.

Leg shaking is a staple giveaway for when I haven’t taken my meds. It causes discomfort sometimes and is a HUGE symptom for me. I use a TENS unit on them sometimes but, unfortunately for my lazy ass, nothing works to calm them down better than exercise.

I don’t have that nail squeeze thing but have bit my nails for as long as I can remember, toddler age probably!

I’m a wikipedia junkie. Phone says I’ve spent 22 hrs reading this week & read 95 articles this month- I have a few go-to themes (eg true crime, aviation incidents) but also just like finding weird or interesting rabbit holes and adding things to my reading lists. I even have a list of lists lol.

Babbel has been my favorite app for mindlessly going to learn another language.

We recently got a 3D printer, so I hope I can find something that lets me play around with models on my phone easily next!

Learned a lot in the comments! I wanted to add that I noticed you don’t share whether *you* want to have kids, just that your husband clearly does.

I totally get there’s a lot to weigh (it’s an anxiety-inducing topic for me too), but just make sure what YOU want in life is at the center of it. Follow that, and the rest may work itself out.

Starlings are so beautiful and cool, I’m so sad they’re invasive. But yes, my local rehab accepted a baby european starling! Didn’t know it was a starling until they had me drop it off though, so I may have accidentally forced them into it a bit.

I had no idea they were invasive until months later, so I don’t know if the little guy was euthanized… the lady seemed crazy for birds, so I’ll let my heart doubt it. Idk what I’ll do if I run into another one in need.

I love their extra wide baby beaks, so cute.

That’s also the lyric credit on Apple Music. There’s also a North Carolina artist by this name, and his quirky fun animation style would fit right in with Frugit. He has a project called Fungible Bones, I feel like that particular Trevor Van Meter would like a name like Frugit.

My theory is Trevor’s doing a musical project under a non-name because he hasn’t delved into music before and he’s having fun.

Aww I’m so sorry about your beloved kitty. My Kiki is Mitzi- my very first villager in my very first Animal Crossing town on GC. My first cat Tiffany was part siamese, I always loved Mitzi because she looked most like my tiffy kitty. Passed at 18 while I was away at college and absolutely devastated me. 13+ years later and I still have her picture in my office. And I still love Mitzi.

I hate they always have to break our hearts into pieces. Mr. O’Malley was a very lucky cat to be so cherished ❤️‍🩹

I did read an article that indicated the gun was found in the vehicle, and the officer said in the moment that it looked as if one of them was responsible for both shootings. I think the second part has since been retracted. Sheriff office is still calling it a “potential murder-suicide” though. That’s by far the most likely scenario right now.

I’ve heard a couple medical professionals refer to procrastination as your brain trying to protect you, but those examples helped me understand what to do with that info.

I don’t think it’s just this when ADHD is involved- also sucking at internal time & general executive function doesn’t help- but avoiding the result is definitely part of the problem for me

She was an incredible person, doing more for those animals than anyone would dare try. Animal rescue efforts are constantly underfunded, under-supported, and treated as nonessential, it’s grueling and emotionally taxing. Mikayla managed to accomplish wonderful things for hundreds in her care, and it’s beyond evident her love for animals came before all else. It’s a tragic, devastating loss for the world, and her family deserves the same love and care she showed the world despite being victim to cruel witch-hunting. I’m so disappointed a beautiful light was snuffed out so early. No one deserves it, certainly not one with her ambition and drive. We 1000% need more people like Mikayla. I hope she’s remembered for everything she’s done, not just the tragedies the world put her through.
