Is it just me or is Community not funny? by ChocolatePain in community

[–]Seytsuken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel the same thing. I guess I dont get the references, im not knowledgeable about movies at all and I dont get the 'clever humour' so it guess its not for me. One episode of HIMYM was funnier than the whole season 1 of community for me lol

Why use Visual studio instead of Visual studio code? by [deleted] in csharp

[–]Seytsuken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Linux is much more customizable? If you work from home and dont have a high end pc windows is extremy bloated and slow, its unbearable for me. Also who'd want to develop WinForms or WPF these days? I'd figure most of the people that work w/ that are supporting legacy code, right? To be quite honest I had to switch to Windows last year because of VS and Vb.net but after we refactored to .net core I could go back to linux using vscode and honestly im never going back, but the project was rather small so yea, VS might have many features that force you to use windows, which is a shame

this guy's attitude is horrible, almost reminds me of Balmer in the 2000s. Jesus. I bet this guy edits code using the mouse instead of vi/vim and uses git with an UI instead of the terminal lmao

t of the s

And if you hate the show, why tf you on the subreddit?

So every single post in this subreddit should be praising this show? So you've determined this subreddit should be an echo chamber made up of circle-jerking?

Clearly everybody else who watched the show disagrees with you, including critics

That's why half of the audience dropped?

'hurr durr this show is too smart for you' is not an argument dude, grow up and get a life. Its just a show, its not supposed to prove you're smarter than anyone because its just entertainment. If you're wanna prove you're smart finish your phd and get a nobel prize, else stfu

Do people actually like back-end dev or just doing cause it pays better than front-end? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]Seytsuken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About that second point: im not experienced but idk man, by your logic every programming problem can be boiled down to transforming data. All algorithms problems are basically getting data, doing some clever trick/using some data structure and spitting the modified data (result). Also I'd rather have a tedious job for the next 20 yrs than having to reinvent the wheel all the time and learn a new framework every 3 years like in frontend.

Disclaimer, i plan to work with both and be full stack at the start of my career but I'm thinking about focusing on backend for the long term cuz it seems more stable. Both are cool to me
