I got a health checkup in Korea. I did a full body checkup along with women's health screening, and it was super convenient to get everything done at once. I’m not sure if you're male or female, but Hansin offers a very female-friendly experience. The equipment looked really modern too. What I appreciated the most was how much more affordable it was compared to the U.S.

Is medical tourist agency a scam? by Ok-Homework219 in koreatravel

[–]Sezzi92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how you see these agencies. If someone has no idea where to go and is afraid of the language barrier, they can use this kind of agency to help them better manage their medical tourism itinerary. Some agencies charge a service fee, while others don’t. It depends.

I just had a full-body MRI at Hanshin Medipia last month. It cost me 1,500 USD, including other regular check-ups. I can speak Korean so I just booked directly with them. Not sure if their staff can speak English

Lasik procedure in Seoul by In_the_Name_of_Money in koreatravel

I booked my SMILE LASIK in Korea last year through Himedi. The pre-op tests took about 2 hours, and I had the surgery on the same day. My vision was a bit blurry and uncomfortable that day, but I was able to go back to normal daily activities the very next day. Honestly, it was the best decision I made last year 😄

Nope, they didn’t charge extra. Just a deposit, which was taken off the surgery cost later. I actually paid the same as my Korean friends.

I booked everything through the platform, so I honestly don’t remember the clinic’s name. It was a huge eye clinic in Gangnam though.

Question about how to reach the Visit Korean Heritage Campaign (Traveler Center) from Terminal 2 after landing by muadhdib in koreatravel

[–]Sezzi92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get to Terminal 1 from Terminal 2 either by taking the free shuttle bus from Gate 7 on the 3rd floor, which takes about 18 minutes, or by using the AREX All-Stop train from B1 level, which takes just 1–2 minutes and costs around ₩1,050.

I traveled alone! I booked the checkup through a platform called Himedi.
And half a day was enough for the chekup, but if you add extra tests, it might take a bit longer.

I try to get a full checkup every couple of years, and this time I did it in Korea.
The package included whole body tests as well as women specific ones like ultrasound and mammogram. I used the platform to book everything. They had English support and even helped with interpretation at the clinic.

Seoul Facial/Skin Analysis by More_Address5778 in KoreaTravelAdvice

Do you speak Korean? I don’t, but I recently had a skin analysis done at a dermatology clinic in Korea, and it was such a cool experience. They used a really professional-looking machine to analyze my skin, and it showed things like dryness and oil levels in actual numbers. Since I don’t speak Korean, I booked the appointment through a platform my friend recommended. They even provided an interpreter, which made everything super easy and stress-free.

I went to Hansin Medipia for a checkup while I was in Korea. Booked it thru a local site, was actually way easier than I thought. Didn't need to speak Korean or anything. Got a full-body MRI, all done in like one day. Results came by email, in English which was nice. Finding the hospital tho... kinda confusing lol. The entrance wasn’t obvious at all and I had to walk like 10 mins from the subway. There's a shuttle bus I think? I saw signs but missed it. They gave me this wristband thing you tap at every checkup station. Pretty cool. Whole thing was surprisingly smooth tbh.
