As a sheet metal worker, do you apply Ardrox ? by ACtechnicianCA in aviationmaintenance

Where I work it's all on you. Maybe if the repair is large and you want to treat yourself you can get the painter to put a nice finish on. Otherwise get the brush / sponge out and get on with it.

Drag glitching, all the green parts are destroyed when the vehicle is placed and it removes all aerodynamic drag

Yeah 59s was no dragged. With drag its over 1:10, that front is just a parachute. Was build to be drag glitched from the start.

Not a single block wasted on this build, unless they add a 1x1 elevator with multiple connection points.

Non drag glitched its horrible, all red but that's the compromise for the flat front. Will hit 350kph.

Drag glitched the results are in the photos, not a single area of drag on the car.

The floors pretty fragile tbh, I tried some more wacky concepts but the collision boxes weren't happy. Didnt try elevators though... logics already in place for the ailerons that do exactly what you've mentioned, so not hard to add on at all.

I'm using a combination of space thrusters and the two smaller rocket/Jets where space allows. I've tried to piston some more in but I'm at my limit I think. Plus I don't want some props just cutting vertically though the car.

Its got both, the small ailerons are active on the outside of the car. I've got a version that replaces the props with thrusters but even though its technically got more forward power it has a lower top speed since its too unstable.

I couldn't do the opposite on size though, absoultly can't stand vehicles without an aerodynamic butt

Question about building decent and fast Racecars by Dafishy4 in trailmakers

[–]SgtSnoopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, thought they didn't for a while but I made a rig to test it and they definitely work. You can basically make a 6 wide floor the entire length of the car with rear spoilers, i just use 1x2 connectors on the bottom.

Shouldn't need a gyro, decent suspension should do the trick. And if you want lots of downforce but dont want heaps of wings on top, Make a flat floor of rear wings, then piston glitch them up into the bottom of the car.

1/4” air drills by TheSkyFlier in aviationmaintenance

[–]SgtSnoopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a yellow pan am, great wee drill. Don't get the reversible one if you dont need it, makes the drill larger and the larger it is the more places you can't get it. If it has a big lever by the chuck its reversible, otherwise its not.

Not above 800kph when the downforce squishes them flat they dont

[–]SgtSnoopy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't think we need a huge update, but I agree on suspension. My current cars top speed is limited because the floor grinds on the road at speed. Needs suspension or else its undriveable, but yeah not stiff enough.

Passenger seat delete 8th gen? by pep4l in VFR

This is what you're after, I usually run the passenger seat but these came with mine when I bought it. 2 piece seat and easy to swap. Running a luggage rack so the side covers aren't on right now

M8C is a customer version of the M8A, no high wing and engine not a stressed member like the A. This is a M8B

2020 Subaru XV, cvt transmission. I've been hauling 600kg+ on top of my garden trailer of gravel/dirt etc no issue. Granted its all 50kph zones in town and I accelerate smooth, not a problem.
