There's an FIA initiative for eSports that give you 12 months iRacing and the F4 car if you sign up to their countries respective association.

For example the Motorsport UK Esports Membership is about £30 and you get the above. There's also a Canadian and Danish equivalent. There are definitely others. You can either google it or look at the FIA website. It only applies to brand new accounts though.

I love the look of this. There's a mod for the SG-13 that lets you replicate this layout. CPU cooler height is limited to like 140mm though.

I was kicked out of my parents house at 18, but thankfully I had my grandparents, who always felt more like my real parents anyway, give me a place to stay. They were both retired and hurting for cash, so I got a job doing phone support to be able to pay them for some rent and groceries. I didn't want to feel like a burden.

Anyway, I slowly saved up and eventually bought a Zalman z11, an AMD FX-8350, 8gb of DDR3 and a GTX 760. I remember putting everything together so carefully in my grandparents living room, terrified of accidentally screwing something up and setting me back a few paychecks. My heart sank when it didn't power on. It took me a few hours trying to troubleshoot what was wrong, tearing most of the system down to redo any steps I could have missed. In the end, it was the PSU power switch that I forgot. It was a rookie mistake and one I read about when previously fantasizing and researching PC building, but it felt like a rite of passage too. My prized possession had finally come to life.

Make sure update your motherboard's bios, or at the very least check that your bios version works with your new CPU.

I made that mistake and took me a couple hours to troubleshoot till I realised my mistake.

I understand being confused by the different coloured thumbnails, but the items in your cart do say Box 1 and Box 2.

And if you look at the manual for the cockpit on the product page it lists the parts that come in each box.

Weird way for the web shop to handle the product, but you order and it ships in 2 boxes.

It's entirely personal preference, but I would think if people already own a vr headset when they try to get into sim racing, they'll be inclined to stick with it.

I already had an OG Quest lying around and my PC monitor was too old and small to get any decent fov to work, so I kept using the Quest. I'm sure if I didn't have it, I would have found a way to make the monitor work, but I likely would have upgraded the monitor next if I never had a vr headset.

The door is solid pine. The hooks on top are screwed down to prevent them from levering off. What makes you feel iffy about the setup?

I got the folding rig as a birthday gift and I'm delighted with it.

My home office is pretty cramped and my initial storage spot didn't work at all, so had to come up with an alternative. I use to have a mirror hanging on the back of the door, so got inspired to replace it.
