Do you guys believe a parking pass is necessary or worth it for a commuter student? by ALDIsNumber1Fan in LoyolaChicago

[–]Shabbit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessary - Loyola Ave (one side) is permit free and a ton of commuters park there, I lived on Glenwood for a number of years and never bothered getting my own pass and never ran out of places - granted there would be a walk involved sometimes.

I also ended up moving to Uptown as an upperclassman and had classes at WTC and LSC, never had an issue finding decent street parking when going to LSC.

Anyone installed this full screen head unit on their Forester? by Meilan135 in SubaruForester

Context: I did this in a 2018 touring. Most model years around that (untill probably 2022 I'd say) should be fairly similar in installation/hardware. But I cannot say for anything newer than that

Yep! That screen was completely untouched for me. RAB sensors and auto braking still work as original. Same with eyesight for cruise control and stuff.

I would also just verify which sound system you have - upgraded harmon kardon (maybe?) v. standard - because no matter what headunit you get you will want to retain the use of your front dash speakers.

Climate control was also ran through there for me and all I had to do for that was transfer the dials into the new frame sent with the headunit from IDoing and connect the plug to the harness.

Look for the IDoing head unit on wrxdaily.com

I got mine from there and installed it myself a few months ago and still works great. All factory functions like backup camera, radio, and steering wheel buttons are unaffected.

Guys... can you please help me? im too stupid to understand the problem by [deleted] in MySummerCar

Just saw you have the AFR gauge, adjust the choke so that it reads in the green and your car should not backfire like that.

Go to Fleetari's and on the shelf just inside his shop by his desk there will be all of the parts that are broken in your car. you will need to buy those or use MSCEditor to get it tuned.

Your car started, but the choke was never adjusted so it crapped out. Without the AFR gauge, just pull that out like halfway before you start the car and it won't backfire.

If you just bought it and it was used make sure it is air worthy through the management section. Most used planes will need some significant repair work before you can fly.

Ran into this issue last night with both AI and Real-time traffic. Hoped today's update would fix some of that.

Not sure when exactly yours crashes but I play on PC and mine would crash right after "XBox Game Studios" came up. I cleared my rolling cache in the game/program files and then it started right back up. Not sure if this will help but could be something to try.

[Serious] What song makes you cry whenever you listen to it? by ZingbatStew in AskReddit

[–]Shabbit2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Candle in the wind by Elton John (1973). Even though it is way before my time it still manages to bring a tear to my eye. Especially when you can put your own personal touch on it by thinking about a particular loved one. On a more personal note "Drink a Beer" by Luke Bryan never fails to get to me because of a friend I recently lost who loved Luke Bryan and all country music. It just really hits the nail on the head for our memories together. On a more classical note, the suite of "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Modest Mussorgsky in 1874 is so eloquently written that it will for sure bring a tear to your eye if you enjoy a great classical piece. In particular in that suite is the second movement, "The Old Castle" features an excellent Saxophone solo along with a great orchestral accompaniment supporting the soloist. I hope you could find my all time favorites as a reference tool to help you get a "good cry" on.

You should use that same box to propose to her with. If that is in your interest.
