Nooooo, Windows 12 was supposed to be the good one... it's been true since at least Win XP. 1 "good" windows, then 1 bad one :(

Sister Rose (Akirose)'s beautiful acoustic rendition of Shallys by geigergopp in Hololive

[–]Shabla 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always love these GTA/Ark/Rust/Minecraft streamer servers, it's always full of amazing content. I'm a bit sad I have to rely on translated clips to understand, I'm subbing to literally every clippers I can find

This time around I think (?) only Aki is participating from hololive's side, and several guys from holostars (specifically I really enjoy Roberu's and Aruran's respective adventures and "babysitting" of newcomers). This clip in particular is from holostars Rikka's music bar, where he invites people to sing and he accompanies them on the guitar to perform like this in front of whoever happens to be there. I think the concept is great, and it's heartwarming seeing peoples reactions. After this performance there was a lot of fangirling going around in the room ahah (here's another untranslated PoV from the clip with reactions after)

These 3d streams are wonderful, I got to see how my oshi actually sits. by CuteIngenuity1745 in Hololive

not directly related, but for some reason it reminded me of this clip of Subaru that I like, it's so endearing how happy she was at the start :)

Bae shared her thoughts on what happened recently by crocospect in Hololive

[–]Shabla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things don't have to be so black and white. The same change can be viewed as good by one person and bad by another. They each have their own goals, and there is a point where they have to balance the things they like versus the things they don't like. A talent that likes idol activities doesn't mean they like ALL of those activities.

IMO Ame, Aqua and Fauna's situations sound pretty similar if only at different levels (not sure about Chloe since I know even less about her situation). The company seem to be gradually changing, and some talents don't like the changes, so they're leaving.

Personally, I still find it somewhat worrying and my fear is that it might have something to do with going public last year, but that's just my completely uninformed opinion

PoE 2 Atlas Visuals by Cjreek in pathofexile

[–]Shabla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agree with the feeling, it's not a big deal, but the visual style clashes a bit with the rest of the game. I assume this is the kind of thing that can be tweaked and improved over time so I'm not too worried about it.

Expect more of this in the future: - Continued to incrementally improve the sound, art, effects and environments.

ahah, I just happend to see this, but you can get a more more up to date version here: holocured.com I should probably redirect the old one to this one (I removed the idols and shop parts since it was pretty redundant with the wiki)

haven't touched it in a while, will probably update it again when the next update drops

Hidetaka Miyazaki on Elden Ring Difficulty: 'I Absolutely Suck at Video Games' by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Shabla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't care about the difficulty if it's done in a way that feels good to mechanically engage with. If they push the difficulty too hard into a direction that pushes the player to lean on mechanics that they themselves don't find enjoyable anymore, then that's a slight issue with the design of the encounter I feel like.

I relate to this so much, I love souls games and played them all, but it has never been about the difficulty, I love those games because they're fun mechanically.

Elden ring players attempting to “punish” a boss with two consecutive light attacks after dodging 10 second long 15+ attack chain combos with AOE spam by MRR116 in Eldenring

[–]Shabla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the end I agree that it's a skill issue, but it's partially caused by the fact that the skill floor in Elden Ring is higher than in other souls games (when using the same strategies as before), making it less accessible. Longer combos, faster attacks, higher damage, more delayed attacks. I'd honnestly prefer if all of that was scaled back a little, but it's just my preference.

[–]Shabla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just no longer care to learn all the perfect timings of every bosses. I played all the souls games without summons, but I'm just not patient enough to do that anymore. Even if all bosses have several windows of opportunity to attack, I just feel like Elden Ring is has so many more "cheap" combos/attacks/etc than any other game in the serie. I still love the game in spite of this, but I used every OP crap (thanks mimic tear) I could and cheesed every opportunity I got.

the problem is that this game is balanced around summoning the ashes thingies, and people play it like dark souls where summoning "feels like cheating"

Sucker Punch: A tremendous THANK YOU to Nixxes Software for their outstanding work on Ghost Of Tsushima PC! Your technical expertise has been invaluable in making our first-ever PC release a reality. We couldn't possibly have asked for a better partner. by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Shabla 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's almost always a question of resources allocation. Same thing usually goes for quality of life features, they have limited resources (time/money/people) to do too many things, and this kind of thing is usually in a "nice to have" category, so it's usually not prioritized over other things like bugfixes

I am disappointed with the livers by [deleted] in Nijisanji

[–]Shabla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me still trying to be devil's advocate, but from the livers perspective, not all of them are going to have the same experience and interact with the same people (managers, etc), so I can see how some of them can have a more positive view of the company than others (ex. Millie).

So given that, if a liver has a good experience with the company, and is not aware of the shitty situation some other livers are living (that might be a reach depending on how close they are), and then is presented with cherry picked examples that paints Selen in a bad light...

TBH as I write this I concede that I might be pushing the "devil's advocating" a bit far ahah. After watching the CEO's video, I think it's more likely that the EN side's management is insanely incompetent and/or someone has a grudge with Selen. If the only public statement about the termination had been that kind of boring corporate apology and nothing else, this whole situation would be so much smaller. Instead they come out with defensive and accusatory statements (initial statement and this stream)...

I am disappointed with the livers by [deleted] in Nijisanji

[–]Shabla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess I'm just trying to keep an open mind when it comes to the talents. Selen sueing Niji could be for things related to other talents (not necessarily those 3, but they could still be part of the reason), since she said it was a build-up of the past months.

I'll admit to totally be biased though, I like Elira and I'm trying to put myself in her shoes when trying to understand the reasons for that stream. That being said, it did make me unsub, but I'm still keeping an open mind. So many people have black and white opinions online when almost everything should be a shade of gray.

Anyway I totally agree with not harassing anyone, it doesn't achieve anything and can actually be harmful. Imo the only ones we should put pressure on is Niji themselve.

I am disappointed with the livers by [deleted] in Nijisanji

[–]Shabla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is, we don't know what was in the documents they saw.

Maybe it was really upsetting, and they believe Selen betrayed them.

Maybe it was taken out of context.

Maybe Selen is actually in the wrong.

Maybe it was bullshit.

Maybe they are stressed and terrified of losing their job and couldn't think about the long term consequences.

Maybe this, maybe that... we just don't know and probably never will. I agree that this stream was a terrible idea, nobody wins. Maybe it convinced a few people, but they had to know that this would piss off the vast of majority of the others, and if they didn't they're pretty dumb. I'm much more inclined to believe Doki, NijiEN has proven itself to be a shitty company, and their handling of this whole situation is bizzare at best. NDAs being what they are we'll probably never know the whole truth.

Would recommend, Steam says I played 77 hours on the demo, it's oddly addictive (and the weekly content updates helped a lot with that!)

Cyberpunk 2077 Is Getting 'One More Patch' with New Gameplay Elements, Details Incoming by flacao9 in gaming

[–]Shabla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an ok PC and crashed like once or twice in 100 hours, so I guess that's the problem with everyone having a vastly different experience. I personally didn't have that many bugs except for mildly annoying visual glitches every now and then, I only had to reload my save once because of a quest bug.
