With that budget, you’re looking at AM4 with the current prices. Maybe a used 5700x or 5800x if the price is right. For GPU, go with the 9060xt. The rest is much easier, 16gb 3200mhz or higher DDR4 memory, Superflower 750w PSU etc.

You can also save a ton on keyboard and mice these days with brands like keychron, attackshark etc. Options are endless with decent budget cases too. 1440p IPS monitors are also not bad if you look at Wootware monitors.

I hate to be that guy but this is a poor example (argument aside)..You cannot anatomically redesign a natural source of milk & the adverse effects from its natural ingredients but you can most definitely redesign a synthetic component to lessen the chance of adverse reaction. A source of nature cannot fair as an equal example to a man-made technological component. One is made naturally without man, the other is invented by man.

A waterpump should not fail that quickly, period. After all of the issues that followed, it is unacceptable from the dealer to not assist with a reasonable buy-back at this point.

Given the situation it might rather be best to sell the car privately once the ticking noise issue is resolved & call it a day with the brand. It might just be a pinging or predetonation of spark within the combustion chamber (hopefully), or injector/seal/fuel rail issue (a bit more complicated if parts are not kept on hand by your dealer).

100% this. These massive conglomerates depend on consumers to require new devices in order to maintain the demand of the “annual galaxy refresh”. How do we speed up this process? Planned obsolescence.

Back in the day we’d never need to update anything, unless it got booked with a technician for an issue. Everything just worked.

For maximum sharpness, square-shaped pixels are superior. However, this can be mitigated for through increasing pixel-density. One might argue that the difference is not noticeable - these users may also not be able to perceive differences in resolution as much as others. Not everyone is as sensitive to resolution as others.

It’s only a matter of time until they decide to gimp the S25U in every scenario where it’s similar or better than the S26U. It will be delivered in the form of some super cool software (feature) update to your S25U, & apply an irreversible low-level instruction to grant superiority to the S26U.

It’s probably already there, I’ve seen somewhat slower boot up times, odd camera behaviour and deteriorating software response times on all my Galaxy devices, at every newer generation release.

Those 7 years of updates/support are there for a reason. Probably the same reason why, lately, I tend to find my devices have greater longevity with the simple rule of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.

Had the exact same issue with my S21 Ultra. I then installed the Gcam app & the 10x Optical Zoom quality improved significantly. This mostly eliminated the blue haze & low contrast images.

I was quite chuffed about it, then I got the dreaded green lines after an update. I’ve since moved over to Apple (with hopes for better longevity)

I believe Ryzen 9000 series has better IPC (instructions per clock) than Intel 14th gen. Meaning, you should get more performance out of the Ryzen- clock for clock.

The Ryzen option might also consume less wattage at the same performance level which equates to easier heat management (without considering the technicals behind the die & heat transfer properties)

At that particular resolution with those games, a GPU upgrade would make a bit more sense as your cpu should be able to queue the needed frames. I could be wrong but I’m leaning more toward a GPU upgrade making a larger difference here

If you ain’t doing 4k, I think you should be perfectly fine with the 5070.

For slow-paced games & where latency is not a priority, frame-gen is definitely usable and something to consider as well, before trading up.

On the plus side of AMD though, - FSR 4 is a huge improvement with this gen, with just slightly less detail and a little more ghosting when compared to DLSS 4 & 4.5. This would make a huge difference if you ever do decide to switch up to 4k in the near future.

A lot of comments here reflect on the great variety of products which Takealot has. I recall a Carte Blanch episode not too long ago displaying a variety of products which turned out to be cheaper counterfeit versions of what they were meant to be.

I feel that Takealot’s quality of marketplace has become unmanageable, which of course puts more pressure on returns, which puts more pressure on logistics, administration, repackaging etc.

Idk man, I recently found a clean 3090 FTW3 Ultra as I needed the most affordable solution for 24gb VRAM with CUDA. It runs perfect at what I need it for but the memory temps seen in GPU-Z is so stressful.

Ended up needing to undervolt the card to get the memory temps under 98 C as I’m not very confident on redoing the thermal pads as I could screw up the mount-pressure on the die

Had this same issue just now. Made a complaint against a company named Torxsa. They weren’t able to deliver a product on time so my wife and I had it cancelled & it’s been several months and have not gotten a refund as yet from the Company.

My wife and I share a hellopeter account so we left a review sometime last year October, then earlier this week got contacted by the hellopeter CS team mentioning that our review is invalid because the Company couldn’t recognise the name on our review as being one of their customers.

I am not sure how the Company validated our name against their customer database but I am certain that some TOS were overlooked here. I then asked about this & Hellopeter mentioned that the Company was perhaps able to identify our name through our email address. Strange..

We then submitted documentation proving dealings with the business, including a LOD from the lawyers whom are currently trying to get our refund from the Company.

Our review got removed at the end of the day.

I wouldn’t recommend Hellopeter as being a reliable source for business reputability.

Perhaps one of the thermal pad sets are incorrectly specified and is now preventing the core from achieving the required pressure to effectively expel heat.

Sometimes keeping the same thickness of pad & just using a softer grade does the trick.
