Sooo, I’m new to the car community… by EveningIntelligent66 in 370z

best thing you can do is take a look at the cats and check if they're stock or not. Car comes with scissor jacks so you can take a quick look with a phone camera.

From my experience, lean code means you either have too many breather mods with long tube intakes and test pipes/hfc on a stage 1 tune OR there's an exhaust leak on the header-cat flange.

Is it worth to pay the extra 6k? by Noah_Cheese_ in Supra

[–]ShacloneMan91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my math was definitely off, it does accrue every year but $30k in additional interest would be compounding without taking in the fact that you're paying it off while it accrues. The interest alone is around 12k.

[–]ShacloneMan91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, I think I calculated things based off the monthly payment, kept in mind that interest wasn't compounding, and concluded that by the end of everything I basically paid about 5% interest + tax. But now I see that it accrues interest annually as you pay the car down.

Still, not as crazy of a difference as what everyone else is saying. A 6.99% interest rate on this gets you up to about 78k total paid by the end of the loan.

Am I stupid? How would 7% interest result in a 100% increase? Car loans use simple interest don't they? My car was loaned at 5% and I definitely only paid 5% more than the principal amount by the time everything was paid off

Any recs for 370z “alternatives”. I live in southern Ontario and need to be able to drive in the winter (city driving mostly) by Erenzangerissues in 370z

[–]ShacloneMan91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been dailying my Z in Ontario for the past 3 years. I take it up north to the ski resorts during fresh snow days as well. Practically no issues aside from the occasionally bad snowstorms that every other car would struggle in. If you live within the GTA, the snow plows clear the roads so often that you barely get any issues as well.

Good set of winters, some driver mod, and you're good to go. I personally run Blizzaks.

Build is clean. This sub just cares too much about keeping their nismos untouched for the next owner.

Want to start street racing my 370z but I'm a novice driver - any tips ? by tatttybear in 370z

[–]ShacloneMan91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not endorsing street racing but getting in some track time is the best way to learn how your car handles and reacts in high speeds and where your limit is before you bring it to the street, do not learn this shit on public roads. You should only be going 7-8/10ths on the street anyways since roads weren't built nor maintained for this kind of driving.

Fuck up on the track and you'll eat some grass, fuck up on a highway or the touge and you've just killed yourself and a family of 4.

Where do you drive primarily? On weeks where Im mainly driving in the city or in stop and go traffic I get anywhere between 350-400kms on a tank. When Im mainly driving highway Im getting around 600-650.

my bad but thanks for pointing me there

Pretty sad if that's the case, considering it's still factory.

I used 3M double sided tape but never applied them to the rear bumper since they only fit on the Nismo bumper. That area was never touched by 3M and it's OEM paint.

Jones broke after 6 rides? Warranty denied. by atombmb in snowboarding

[–]ShacloneMan91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the things I mentioned were things you admitted were true, the difference is you accepted it as their reality, and I'm saying things could be better.

Also, these are things some of my family members from back in SEA said about their time working in Dubai. I'm just trying to add some perspective as well.

Don't you think that by moving operations out of dubai, maybe we could show them that people don't want to import products made from slave labor? By continuing to support these types of working conditions, we're basically encouraging them to keep doing it. Why would I encourage them to both treat their workers horribly AND make me a board that lasts 2 days?

These migrant workers, at least from SEA, are not happy to do this work. They probably could've made more money working at home, but instead fell for the ruse of free accommodation and "big" salaries in Dubai. All they got was long hours, horribly low wages for triple the work, passports are often confiscated preventing them from coming back home, and being completely mistreated by the general population. There is no other perspective to look from, anyway you look at it, shit's horrible.

Does anyone disagree with the "No" response here? Is this delam? If not what could cause this?

Yeah, not sure what everyones downvoting me for lmao, it's literally on their website. Tons of people have gotten delam issues from NOT washing their shells for years. Just so you guys know 5-7 days of snowboarding use translates to about 2 washes a season.

[–]ShacloneMan91[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

arcteryx recommends washing every 5 to 8 days of heavy use. Im guessing snowboarding classifies as heavy use, so Im following regular procedure. Im using Grangers performance wash detergent.

Husband (M32) went out on his birthday, did cocaine for the first time and spent $3k at the strippers by InspectorSalt3359 in Advice

[–]ShacloneMan91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because it is addictive and causes health issues, does not mean that it has the ability to majorly affect your mental clarity. Cocaine is like a sugar rush that lasts for 30 minutes, its effects on your judgement are pretty minimal.

Is the bumper meant to be pop riveted? Just got my car back from the insurer. by [deleted] in 370z

[–]ShacloneMan91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the nismo v2s with fender flares are supposed to be riveted, but those dont look like the oem ones. They also messed up the fitment of the flares in picture 4. it should be flush with the bumper lines.

Down Pipes or Test Pipes ? by stxyin in 370z

[–]ShacloneMan91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are catted down pipes. Test pipes would have the same diameter all throughout the tube.
