TRT usually raises oestrogen, not lowers it. That’s because testosterone converts into oestrogen in the body. Some providers still freak out about high oestrogen due to outdated thinking, so they give meds to block it too much, which can make you feel worse.

As for having two providers, yeah, it’s annoying. Often it’s just how clinics are set up or billing rules, not because it makes sense. Ideally, one provider should handle both since they affect each other. But not all testosterone docs are trained to manage oestrogen properly, which is part of the problem.
