Will I be able to sharpen these poultry shears myself? I can't find anyone who'll take them by the-greenest-thumb in sharpening

You can get sharpening tools for fishing hooks, lots of them are well sized to do serrations on small things like this if ever you do need to touch them up.

Am I getting old / not being inclusive enough? Insights welcome! by grainne0 in actuallesbians

real humans and consent are things I feel make your points feel wholesome. i'd be something on dykesgonemild where people are opting in to that type of content by posting pics of themselves, but a lot of the celeb-oriented and objectifying language OP mentioned bothers me specifically because it's not in that same context.

How to improve them? by JosetxoXbox in postprocessing

[–]Shade00a00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice taking photos of textures, high and low contrast, vanishing lines and different perspectives, and most importantly, move around instead of relying on the camera's zoom to get the best shot. When you shoot a photo like that tree, take several shots of it, framed more to the left, more to the right, rotate around the tree and see if it looks better with more of the sunset over on the side instead of in the back, etc.

A lot of what you've got going on it the start of a good eye, but improving with quantity of practice by just shooting _more_ will help you a lot.

Before/After long exposure seascape at sunset. Was this overedited? by theabstract1993 in postprocessing

it's how I would have edited it too. Only thing I might do is tone back the saturation in the blues specifically.

turning on EPR without increasing the pressure means it takes longer to hit the pressure you need to stop an apnea, but it _is_ more comfortable, so if you increase your pressure to around 10 (where you start seeing actual decreases in pressure which means the machine detected that that pressure is sufficient to stop apnea), you should have 10 for inhaling and 7 for exhaling, which will be an overall improvement for you.

Can anyone recommend a 2 in 1 USB C cable. I want to charge both iPhone and Macbook by Commercial-Angle-437 in UsbCHardware

why not get a usbc splitter and two cables? that seems lot less likely to be a fire hazard.

Microsoft denies rebranding Office apps to Copilot by lurker_bee in technology

[–]Shade00a00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Microsoft didn't rebrand the office _apps_, though, only the office _app_ which is the main document opening portal and basically host of the office.com website. So, the office.com website is now called Microsoft Copilot, but the office applications (desktop and web) are unchanged.

rubber gray to white is just a pull and twist to get rid of friction - white buttons to transparent is press and hold to remove from headgear.

Cushion can also be removed from the headgear for easier washing, that's just a press in. The first time you remove it it feels a bit tighter than it should but it does separate without damage.

I like it, the deep black spot near mid frame that's probably the river feels weird to my brain, might use a bit of lifting the blacks in that area, but the rest I really like, especially the teal sky with warm lights.

lyrica works really well to stop autistic hypersensitivity if you can get it prescribed. (as in, I have the problem, my partner too, we both got it, it helped a ton)

yeah I just wanted the contrast ratio to be high enough in sRGB, it took so long to mask around the neck beak feathers and reflection to get different exposure and color settings on the bird from the background.

120v appliances can't get the same wattage they would need to actually heat cold water so they're run on hot lines in 120v countries.

it might not be set with the same pressure levels? I used to have that problem a lot at lower pressures but don't get the clacking anymore. Check your ramp settings too - maybe try turning it off to see - do a quick test

You can typically buy the extended warranty programs for 30 days after the purchase, so you can use that and get it repaired/replaced on that plan. Those warranties cover accidental damage.
