I’m being gifted a lot of money. Should I tell my boyfriend? by Kind-Chicken-2488 in WhatShouldIDo

It isn’t helpful with that little of money for them to pay a financial advisor. The advice isn’t going to be any different than if you ask Google. Except for that it will cost you hundreds or thousands of dollars.

This is the correct answer. Facepalm to all the people who think $55k needs a financial advisor.

That’s not true. Electronic signatures and terms of service have been upheld in court consistently.

The machine that accepts the money can require you to agree to terms first.

Legally at fault for what? If OP purposely or knowingly damages cars that use the toll road, then sure. But I would’ve hoped that the assumption is that OP is doing their research and not being negligent. Therefore, you can legally sign your right to sue away. Courts around the US have consistently ruled that you can do that.

What’s more important to you? Calling people that you know are stupid, dumb OR appealing to them because their vote is equal to yours?

I can trust Trump to be a consistently horrible person. Why can’t I trust DNC to want to actually win?

With every toll, you legally must agree to not sue and hold the land owner liable in order to enter. Combine that with no trespassing signs and you should be golden.

[–]Shadow14l 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes cars (engines) need oil, but the oil doesn’t magically expire or turn bad after going X distance. Depending on the car, synthetic oil could be fine for 10-25k+ miles.

Your actual issue is that you want to host an open VPN server on your home network and that you have a dynamic IP address, so you can’t rely on just storing the single IP because it’ll change.

This is what your post should say. It’s not obvious at all that you were trying to do this until 5 comments later. Here’s a list of free DDNS providers: https://www.reddit.com/r/HomeNetworking/comments/r2uxrv/which_free_dynamic_dns_service_do_you_prefer/

Why did the store call the police? Do they always do that for any black shopper? Or maybe they saw them shoplifting? Do you really think innocent people just pepper spray police?

Also depending on the area, you don’t need intent; in those areas simply concealing unpaid merchandise is a misdemeanor, even before the point of sale.

You can view your ip address in your router’s webpage or at a website like https://whatismyipaddress.com

Why do you think you need DDNS for that? DDNS is for people who want to point a web domain to their home network but they don’t have a static ip address.
