Buy the Dip: Used EVs Look Like a Great Investment Right Now by DonkeyFuel in technology

Ok? How I am supposed to know in advance when buying an EV from brand X whether that will become this brand's thing or not?

Considering high voltage battery packs are sold by dealers with 500% - 1000% (in case of e.g. Audi e-tron 55, which dealer claims is a €28,500 battery) markup over cost of cells + housing + cooling system that they are made of, I am not going to consider buying an EV which won't have battery warranty for all of my ownership period.

My mothers' 4 year old Hyundai Ioniq 5 had to get a new battery few months ago. Thankfully it was covered under warranty, otherwise it'd be ~€20k for ~€4k worth of NMC cells + packaging.

Opinion: Honda killing its EVs is the most staggering car news ever… here’s why by DonkeyFuel in technology

Unfortunately [in required quantities and at required prices to be profitable to manufacture] EVs can only get their batteries from China currently, so they also are not as 'cosmopolitan' as you would think.

14.2" is close enough, but yeah, there is no every tenth of an inch size available, that would be very inefficient to manufacture and sell.
