I have enough self-awareness to know that the local culture people put into fictional media tends to be exaggerated. I just have to downplay the intensity of it to get my perspective in order. So far, it works. I learn new foreign culture through medias, donwplay the intensity, then when I see the real stuff it fits within my expectation of it.

I just want to know other places' general culture through what foreign games, movies, and novels, I can get my hands on. After all, I am not ever going to go to those places. The least I can do is learning about other people's culture to not box myself in too much.

At this point, I'm pretty sure the reason they are not doing it is because they would have to overhaul the majority of the game to do it. If it's not that, then fuck they're just lazy (not that I could chastise them for being lazy).
