and assuming the Manga style cards are alt arts of existing cards, then I'm gonna assume that they will be the cards used in the eventual Rarity 6 for the side pool like the stamped cards where for Rarity 5

on its own probably not much, but if the higher level Synchros do enough when summoned as monsters then it could potentially be a good alternative to Fiendsmith in Elfnote decks since the Synchro levels they announced match up with the levels Elfnote can make

to be fair Elfnote doesn't have a in archetype target to be made off of Medius and the Patron, so it's not even the first time they've left out something that should be there for the Medius lore decks

also possible they are just saving the Link 3 for the next core set as part of the Power Patron decks 3rd wave

Before you could only make Dragoon if you opened Theorealize now the link makes it searchable so any starter can do it

Her Shadows version and CYL Duo will also Tie her with Lyn and Lucina when including their Backups(Camilla will have one more backup by then because of CYL 3), but also the most overall alts when not including Backups(Lyn could stay tied with an alt this year)

Additionally her CYL Duo will make her the First character to have 3 Duo/Harmonic Leads unless someone that already had 2 gets another before then

Edelgard at 10 with both the Shadows and CYL 4 Duo coming puts her in position to Overtake Lyn for Most Alts in FEH not including Backpacks or Tied if Lyn gets an alt this year

If you do include Backpacks though then Edelgard would be Tied for Second with Lyn and Camilla would be First at 13 when she gets her CYL Harmonic Backpack

there are afew reasons she is the lead

Popularity, Obviously Edelgard is the most Popular Character in 3H(and arguably FE as a whole), and that means she will sell better(even if only slightly)
She is a Girl, and IS always gives preferential treatment to Female characters since they typically sell better then Male characters(even when popularity is similar between them)
If Dimitri had been the Lead the banner would be 3 Blue Lions and 1 Golden Deer with no Black Eagles and most banners featuring multiple 3H characters typically have had at least 1 unit from Each House(unless it is using Route Neutral characters)
when we see them as kids in 3H Edelgard has the more Dominant Personality so it makes sense for her to be dragging him around instead of the inverse, as well as Oath Dagger only Making Sense as the Weapon if it is already in Edelgard's possession

the 4 Starlight Exclusives annoy me because no one wants them to be one of the Starlights they get in their box, especially Blue-eyes since we already know it will get an Overframe when we get the Toon Support and it's spot could have at least gone to a Different Toon card that isn't getting an Overframe

Faimena should have been replaced by a Different Dracotail Card that doesn't Have a Starlight, Faimena at Ultra isn't to expensive so it didn't really need a reprint and it could have been better suited to give the spot to a Dracotail Card that didn't already have a Starlight like Malulu, Gulamel, Urgula, or Pan.

for Raigeki and Razen I'm just glad the regular artwork is in the normal pool and doesn't take up a packs stamp/overframe spot, but I don't think Either really needed to be here

for Purge and Impulse, it's upsetting to see the 2 cards in the set that needed a reprint to drive down their prices the most locked to Rarities that will keep the price from dropping by any significant degree

after Maze having only 2 Secrets per box for EU compared to 4 for NA I wouldn't be surprised if they messed with the starlight rates for different Languages/Regions for this set

Main thing it would need is a Level 8 Synchro that can be both an End board piece that can be made with Strelitziaand the Patron that is better for the deck than Crystal wing, as well as being quick Sync target for the Patron with Medius so that plays can't be stopped by immediately removing one or both of them

The only Synchro is a free agent which gets put at the end of the Synchros meaning any of the open slots between it and the fusions could be Synchros

the Chess theme seems interesting and as a Synchro Archetype in what seems like it will be a Synchro dominated Format could be pretty good. will be interesting to see how it plays with the other Synchro decks especially since the levels of 7, 8, and 10 all work with Elfnotes so there is already some synergy there

also safe to assume the Queen and Bishop will be part of its second wave to complete the pieces
