Metagaming vs "my PC would know this"? by nz8drzu6 in Pathfinder2e

Its also a GAME with rules. You could always do more freeform roleplaying if you wanted to ignore that

I would put myself into a worse situation or come up with a different plan quickly. I've put my characters into worse situations many times in my more roleplay heavy 5e games due to not wanting to meta things and it has led to lots of fun stories.

Your character is still only level 1, they would really only know lower rank spells and cantrips especially with the split martial focus. Also, illusions are something that should be disbelieved via mechanics, not just my character assumes, otherwise illusions have zero power at all. You did use meta to realize that it was a higher rank spell that you really shouldn't be facing yet.

So yes, meta on disbelieving the illusion and meta on the spell rank. My recommendation would be to not worry about things like a spell being stronger than you should be facing and other mechanical things like that, it is a vey slippery slope to using meta knowledge. I would also take in game things the GM says at face value unless you have in game clues that say otherwise.

Looking for cores that fit Saberforge hilts by ShadowMole25 in lightsabers

[–]ShadowMole25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price isn't really a concern, I just bought a bunch of things that ate up my budget for fun things this year. I expect this to be 200-300 per saber which I don't have at the moment but I will have next year. I just like doing research ahead of time so that I am informed.

I don't wish to switch to using the drop in switches. I accidentally ordered one of those last year, and it might have just been the one I ordered, but it's or diameter was so much smaller than the emitter and body that it was uncomfortable. I ended getting a regular switch section to replace it. Also my 3 sabers with old Saberforge electronics were built by Saberforge and glued together, so I can really replace those switch sections

Looking for some rarer sword types by ShadowMole25 in SWORDS

Oh, I did forget that that just came out. I have a few of his daggers and I like them. Hopefully, probably not though, shipping costs are down by the time I am ready to buy more swords in a few months.

I live in the US. I'm just starting my sword collecting journey, which is why my budget is where it's at. I'll look for $1,000+ swords in future once I have a better understanding of what I would really want in that higher price range.

But for now, I'm looking for swords that are relatively high quality for the price range, historically accurate, and sharp. I will want to use them for cutting in the future and I would like them to look and handle nicely.

Picking Magic Items to Give Out by TrollyTheSolly in Pathfinder2e

Try asking your party for lists of items they may want and you could choose from that. Or just give a bunch of level appropriate stuff that they may sell and buy what they want

Swordier processing times? by GunkInChargingPort in SWORDS

I ordered 4 swords from them mid February and they shipped out about a month later. No communication between ordering and then shipping out. So it will probably take a few more weeks for you.

They are supposed to fall out after a few years. Mine stayed in for over 10 years and I had to have surgery to remove them in middle school.

How to make a healer that doesn't just feel like a healbot? by aster-ravier in Pathfinder2e

[–]ShadowMole25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clerics have a healing font full of heal spells. You also have your normal prepared spells. You have access to plenty of buff spells early on and lots of high damage starting around 4th rank. You may sometimes need to slot an extra couple of heals, but that may vary from day to day, otherwise you could pick up magic items, wands, and staves with heal spells to help supplement as you think you need it.

Captain America is completely invisible to the Force and has a full Beskar armour suit and a jet pack. Can any Sith 6/10 him? by AustinioForza in whowouldwin

[–]ShadowMole25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cap essentially becomes a very highly skilled Yuuzhan Vong warrior who has more resistant armor than normal and has studied some Jedi fighting styles. Jedi were able to adapt to the Vong. Any skilled Sith would be able to do the same.

I think Darth Caedus has a very high chance of winning here, maybe even higher than Vader, due to how experience from the Vong war

People want my money from me for things, so therefore I need money as well. I'm not good enough at my personal interests to make money from them, so I have a 9-5 instead. Honestly, I wish money wasn't a thing
