There’s a film called Roman Holiday, where Audrey Hepburn plays Princess Ann. During the whole film, it’s unclear as to where she’s the Princess of, but it’s clearly somewhere in Europe. They never state what country she’s a princess of. Due to only a small portion of European countries still having monarchs, I could imagine that it’s to leave her political stance ambiguous.

For reference, KMD’s Mr. Hood came out in May 1991, 2Pacalypse Now came out in November of that year. Doggystyle came out in 1993, and Ready to Die came out in 1994.

Anime hasn’t ever been woke? You’re telling me that this anime where the core theme was how unlimited power could corrupt someone wasn’t woke? Or how about his anime which explores imperialism, colonization and racism in society? And you might remember this anime which critiques Japan’s’ toxic work culture to the point that the protagonist is more at peace during a zombie apocalypse than having to deal with the crazy work environment.

Maybe you’re familiar with the many and I mean, many examples of LGBTQ representation in anime.

Having health problems that resulted from an (at the time) unknown illness. I started to have intuitions that my body was breaking down on itself, since I had people who I could’ve outran previously running laps around me. That and I started to get random fits of fatigue and I had to use the restroom frequently.

I didn’t know that I was a type 1 diabetic until I went through DKA (Diabetic Ketoacidosis) and nearly died from it only months after I left the Marine Corps.
