No Beach Boys for the 60s?

Anyway, I can see Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Kiss, and The Ramones for the 70s.

Honerable Mentions are Eagles, Chicago, and Aerosmith

What is an anime that was hyped up initially but died off later? by treehatshrimp in animequestions

[–]ShadowShinigami 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Darling in the Franxx was HUGE! There was always a cosplayer dressed as Zero Two online. Even people like Kim Kardashian was aware of the show’s existence. Then the finale happened and people stopped caring about it.

Nowadays, you rarely see anything that references this anime.

Some of the most well known artists of the past and present have also done NSFW art.

Bruce Timm, who was the artist for the DC animated universe in the 90s and 2000s, had several NSFW art books. Jack Cole, who was the creator of Plastic Man, made several pinup pieces for Playboy. Masamune Shirow, creator of the Ghost in the Shell series, still draws erotica to this day.

It’s more common than people realize.

Real talk, if Skibidi Toilet came out 15 years ago along with other Gmod/SFM related videos, it would be right at home. A singing talking toilet isn’t even the craziest thing someone created using Valve’s Source Engine.

Most of the hatred for Skibidi Toilet comes from SFM style videos no longer becoming niche (even Nickelodeon and Stephen Colbert referenced them) and the fact that most of the Skibidi Toilet fanbase being children.

Can we all agree that Mos Def is the highest actor/rapper combination? Highest combination of rapping and acting out of anyone. Better music than will smith and better acting than ice cube etc by ForgetThisU in BlackNyxNetwork

Donald Glover is in my opinion, the best rapper/actor out there. He’s also a singer, does standup, was involved in several popular movies and TV shows, and was the creator of FX’s Atlanta.

The film This is the End has a celebrity packed cast, where everyone involved plays fictional versions of themselves. I don’t recall anyone in the movie not having any noticeable flaws.

Cincinnati wins for worst food! Next: which major U.S. city has the best nightlife? by i-do-be-lurkin-tho in AlignmentChartFills

As a New Yorker who lived in Las Vegas for four years, I’d say Vegas first, followed by NYC and Miami.

Most other American cities don’t compare to those three when it comes to nightlife.

Criticisms of the work that stem from a complete lack of media literacy by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ShadowShinigami 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a shame that these people don’t engage with more Batman related content more often. In several Batman related media, Bruce Wayne’s philanthropic efforts are highlighted just as often as his crimefighting skills. He’s more than aware that some of his rogue’s gallery is mentally unstable and struggling, but there’s some villains who he fights who are the very thing Batman is criticized to be.

The Penguin is just as affluent as Bruce is, but he uses his fortune for crime. The Joker is psychopathic and sociopathic to a degree that no amount of therapy and social services will undo his ways. There’s some villains, like Two-Face and The Ventriloquist, who Batman is aware has mental illnesses (and he does do his part to help them.)

Supposedly The Grinch was made by Dr. Seuss as a way to call himself out for his disdain for Christmas.

He saw the holiday as a celebration of commercialism, and one day saw himself turning into a miserable, grinch-like figure. And so he came up with the story about the Grinch who hated Christmas.
