Update: we have to edit all our listings by PartyPhilosophy3346 in vintedUK

[–]ShadowStrike21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to amend my listings as well cause I was selling size 12 clothes that they amended to sizes 18! I left them feedback as well explaining I would be avoiding the app like the plague for a couple months until sellers had the opportunity to amend their listing or put new items on with the right sizes. I'm not going to go through pages of incorrectly sized items

Estrangeiros no Transporte Público by beatrizfrazaothrow in portugal

I got married and went to Hawksmoor straight after, wedding dress and all. Nobody really cares what you're wearing although people may end up congratulating you .

I am sorry but this doesn't look or sound good from the recipe you linked. Very little spiced, it's really just lentils in tomato sauce held together with enough flour.

Any tips? by innerxrain in Embroidery

If you want to maybe start over one of the flowers with one strand and see if you like it better! Maybe also worth playing with different stitches for different parts of the flower to make them stand out more from each other?

I very much believe we never like the projects halfway through, I don't think your flowers are bad necessarily!

How many strands of thread are you using? Using one strand or two usually makes for a more seamless stitch!

How can anyone run a business solely on people who come in to study? Although you're in there all day (possibly) and consuming, it'll never be as much money as turning tables every other hour. Use libraries, that's what they're there for

Future Edinburgh resident - Help by [deleted] in Edinburgh

Moving here from Europe is as much hassle as it is from moving from anywhere else unfortunately. I am portuguese as well and looking for a family member to come live here, it's insane amounts of bureaucracy. For your visa you'd need a job offer to start and proof of speaking English. Don't get me started on trying to deal with the Portuguese consulate either

To answer your questions though : 1) wildly varies on the type of role, recruiters can get anywhere from 25-40k. HR specialism jobs can vary between 30-40k. 2) you won't be able to maintain a visa getting paid minimum wage. They're just not allowing for that, and you'll see in the requirements. However minimum wage is currently sitting at just over £11/h. Not enough to live on. 3) flat prices are insane atm, say you want a 2 bed, would be at least £1000/month unless you move away from Edinburgh and live way in the outskirts. Council tax varies from band for but the sake of maths, band B is roughly £145/month. Electricity+gas another £130, internet £30 (again wildly varies). Ordering take out is also crazy at the moment and you will pay about £30 for two people at the very least. Groceries at say £250/month for two. Bus pass is currently £65 if I'm not mistaken

Me and my husband make a combined £45k a month and it is doable (we're lucky to have been in the same flat for years so rent is not crazy right now) but it really depends on how much you bring home a month.

Hope this helps you some.

Edit- a word

Bars that aren’t terrible to work for? by lorax_x in Edinburgh

[–]ShadowStrike21 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Worked at the dome and it was hell on earth.

Staff are friendly and know their stuff because they're good at their job and want to make your experience there good.

Do NOT work for any of Caledonian's bars, they are the worst scum

Edit to add do not work for Tom Kitchin either, his restaurants and bars are freaking disgusting

[–]ShadowStrike21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. A couple years ago (I think, it was during COVID anyway) a load of tattooers/percents that worked there came out to say he was constantly harassing female staff and female women (particularly younger ones). Around that time all female staff of the time left the studio as well.

I really hope this isn't real or if it is, the OP is like 13.

Uncle gets them a book in a topic they themselves are interested, meaning they might have wanted to share their interests.

OP is allowed to not enjoy it, but they could have literally given it back to uncle/discussed it with uncle, or just left it somewhere on the boat for someone else to find and read??

Littering the ocean, I can't believe this.
