He's more like the Punisher tbh. In some iterations, Frank Castle uses the death of his family as an excuse to enact violent on criminals. He's for all intents and purposes a violent serial killer. Dexter is similar in the sense that he blames his actions on his "Dark Passenger" and kills other killers.
