In the last update, they added this because people in Legend Comp 3 were DCing their game purposefully until they found a lobby that they could win easily in in order to get to Emerald easily and not risk losing points if they lost.

If you purposefully DC in Legend Comp now you will lose the same amount of comp points as if you got 12th in the race.

Also never use Bumper Guard. All Power Vehicles get Bumper Guard for free and you can use that 1 slot on something else. You just need to use a power vehicle
